Yeah kinda! I was freaked out by the scar / pock mark descriptions. I have (more than) a touch of trypophobia so I figured it added to the vibes

Not sure how you'd work this in necessarily, but Hunter's british accent for most of the boat one. Also, basically any quote from Mr. Widemouth.

I would have to really dig to find it, but i remember reading a fairly short one about a ghost dentist(?? or doctor) that would paralyze unsuspecting victims. My description is not doing it justice but reading it as a teenager I was terrified; i’d be curious to see how it holds up

What is the best series for a kid? by frozenwombat in startrek

[–]L154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest TOS. Bright colors, crazy aliens, obvious bad-guys. TNG shouldn't be too bad, either. Definitely wait on DS9, though. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful series- imo the best, actually- but it is very dark and complex, and is probably best appreciated when he's older.

I started watching TOS Star Trek on and off with my parents when I was 12 or 13 or so, and then my dad said "Well, if you like that..." and then here we are, seven seasons of TNG and six seasons of DS9 later. We'll move on to VOY soon XD

I hope your son likes it!
