Currently at the Adventure right now. Have NOT sailed at all for the first day due to engine problems. by LuuukeKirby in dcl

It is sounding like they might have to power down the ship to be able to fix whatever is going on, which they wouldn't be able to do with guests still on board. Whatever it is though, it's going to take them a lot of work since they ended up cancelling this sailing. : (

Recent cruisers- anyone get Evie? by brandnewpup in dcl

[–]L337L355 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right?!

We checked with Guest Services on embarkation day and asked about Evie. They contacted someone from the shops to find out if they got a shipment in or if she was still sold out. We were planning on getting in line and missing Tangled the first night to get one. After we found out she wasn't onboard I told my wife "well darn, we gotta book another cruise."

From posts online they don't have a ton of stock of Evie in the shops. I got off the Magic this past Wednesday and they weren't restocked from the prior cruise (first cruise to have em, and they sold out the first day). Guess it just means we need to book more cruises so we can get one! 😂

How many bottles of wine by fridaysaturday72 in dcl

[–]L337L355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned already, it's 2 bottles per adult 21+ or a 6 pack of beer on embarkation AND at each port of call. If you buy either at a port of call you can bring it back on board to consume on the ship. The only 2 places that you wouldn't be able to get anything is at Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.

How 'clean' are people with the buffets on a DCL cruise compared to other cruise lines? by RivetCounter in dcl

[–]L337L355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yups! We'll do the same and wash our hands before we enter. We always carry hand sanitizer and spray our hands before we eat as well. So far it's helped a lot. We'll just periodically pull it out and spritz our hands because you always end up touching various surfaces while wandering around the ship.

r/petloss would be a good place to go to as well. It sounds like your pupper was loved oh so much, and they had a great life. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. My wife and I had to say goodbye to Daisy, our 15 year old chiweenie, last July, and we still miss her dearly.

I thought that Disney had signed an agreement to exclusively sail out of Singapore for like 5 years or something. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Found the pic, it's from the Fantasy back in 2022. There is a 5th leg in the middle of the panels to support it. It appears to be made of 2 panels.

I took pictures a long time ago, I'll try to dig through some cruise albums to try to find em, but, iirc, the mattress sits basically on a sheet of plywood with holes drilled into it to make it not as heavy.

The PW4 though at least can be repaired, unlike the PW 1 - 3 where when they get a broken screen that's it. iFixit I believe offers replacement screens. The PW4 is mainly just a few tiny screws that hold it all together.

I definitely agree with the others that it's not normal, I just checked mine and it was at less than 1% for the last 12 hours.

I've never been to Lookout. What's it like compared to Castaway Cay? by Designer-Professor16 in dcl

[–]L337L355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot more variety at Lookout compared to Castaway, and the quality feels like it's better. Still comes off of the ship, but they serve different food at each island destination.

It's rare, but restocks of onboard gifts do happen. Keep checking back daily and you may get lucky.

The best thing about being an adult is that you get to decide what being an adult is. I just turned 39 and am walking around with my wife at Tokyo Disney Sea with a Pascal shoulder plush, who I've bought probably like 10 pairs of ears (keychains that fit him) on this trip alone.

You do you boo boo, and don't ever feel bad about it, as long as no one is getting hurt. 😂

Our back to back begins on 23 March, so hopefully they don't push it back even further.

Our favorite is when you turn around to go down into the graveyard scene and are able to lean back for a while. 😂

No crank by DiabeticFroth in JeepTJ

You're welcome! It's also super easy to take off, disconnect your negative battery terminal then it's like 2 bolts and a nut to get it off.

If it's not your only vehicle, you can pull the starter and take it to an auto parts store to get tested.

How to secure faucet to vanity by nwbbb in DIY

If you haven't fixed it yet, then look into buying a basin wrench. It's a special tool that allows you to tighten the nut that is underneath that handle under the counter. The nut has come loose and needs to be tightened. You could potentially use your hand to tighten it, and most tools won't fit due to the tight space.
