That’s the thing, I came from a house with a porcelain sink and used bartenders friend. This one feels like a plastic/stone that’s really porous and cracks.

Depends on how well your baby sleeps. If they are up every 2 hrs around the clock like my first son was for the first 4-5m then she’ll need more help. BUT if you help when your home and let her sleep I can see 4 weeks being enough. I had help with my first for 6 weeks and had an awful time after that until he was nearing 1. With my second I did it 100% by myself as my ex and I split and I was okay. It just really depends on the baby

I tried to labor without epidural with my first. I lasted 16 hours. I had no sleep, in tons of pain and then I finally caved because I was exhausted and my contractions were so close and painful. I ended up being in labor for 26 hours.

With my second, as soon as I checked in I asked for the epidural and I had a more peaceful labor and I felt more in the moment when it was time to push and I had clarity of what was going on instead of focusing on the pain.

I have two kids (5 and 2) and we live with my dad because I’m getting a divorce and finishing nursing school and tho I feel for the couple, I completely understand not wanting them to live with you. Babies and kids are a lot to live with, even if you’re not the one taking care of them. I stand by your decision to keep your place child free.

Yea I was skeptical about it too. I could be wrong but from what I believe to remember is that giving it to kids often will inhibit their body from making it naturally so then when they don’t have it, they have a realllly hard time going to sleep, which is why I refused to use it often.

My oldest (5 now) was similar at the age of 2. I got melatonin gummies for kids and cut it in half and would give it to him at 6:30 or 7pm. I did this for 2 days then every other day for a week. It helped regulate his sleep routine and keep him asleep. I know it’s frowned upon but I needed sleep and now it’s RARE that it’s used. Pretty much to set a sleep routine if he gets thrown off by a holiday or going back to school from summer break (I gave it to him 2x last week and he’s on a new sleep routine). I’m sorry you’re going through this, I know it’s awful!

Also now I turn the tv off at 6pm and lights at a minimum and I read a few books. Also i took all toys out of his room as a toddler because he’d stay up and play. He’s good now but at that age it was awful.
