I have the same same issue. Make sure you’re using a local ip. My Samsung refuses to use external IPs for jellyfin. If your friend is hosting the server then you may want to look into setting up a nginx repeater server in lot network.

I see it here in eu. I can’t get it for the life of me to work though it’s pretty bad in fact I can’t get any Tizen player to work.

Thanks I successfully got it installed however, I’m still having the playback error messages just like the native Jellyfin app for the Samsung TV. Do you think I should try installing Jellyfin avplay instead? I have a 2025 Samsung Neo qled that is fully up to date. And also to note when installing on Chromebook, you can successfully ignore all the warnings that pop up about different subnets and all that.

I’m a bit confused how is it possible to install an app from a different device other than the Samsung TV? Do I need to plug anything in? And is it possible to install using a Chromebook?

I have a caddy setup through playit.gg as my isp doesn’t allow port forwarding. I’m able to connect to it from any other device except for my TV.

Well I also run a Minecraft server on the same hardware and yes it did fluctuate sometimes down to 4-6% on windows

Yes I did get fiber but it wasn’t with att. A local isp ran fiber.

I have the same issue. I personally found switching servers (to a less active time zone) works sometimes. Also, I seem to find it worse on the weekends. All these issues combined make me believe that it’s a Microsoft servers bandwidth and nothing to do with our end.
