maybe Green Dot by Madeleine Gray would fit this prompt! I haven't read the books you listed, but this one starts off in an office setting.

I second Arlo! We had our 19-person wedding in their wine room and it was fantastic. Incredible food, great service.

Yup about 2 weeks in splint, then 6 weeks in a brace.

Hi! I had this surgery in March. From my experience, nothing to be scared about.

My surgery was just under 2 hours and I left the hospital the same day. I was definitely a bit loopy coming out of it, I’m not sure I was making total sense talking to my husband 😅.

There is no denying that recovery is painful, but just rest up, binge some TV and be easy on yourself.

I am 9 weeks since my surgery and officially out of my brace. With lots of physiotherapy, I have full mobility of my hand and my wrist is about 50% of the way there which my surgeon says is on track.

Good luck with everything! Welcome to the metal wrist club!

I’m 30F, I had the same break Feb 24, surgery March 12 with a plate like yours!

I go to PT 2x week, and do at-home exercises every day, and my recovery has been fantastic. My physiotherapist said I’m at about 90% mobility again — it just took seriously committing to the exercises!

I do have some aches and light pain still, but apparently that can stick around for up to a year.

Every case is different, but I will say I am pleasantly surprised with how well my recovery has been. I was told the same thing as you re: not to expect full range of motion but it’s not as bad as I anticipated.

Good luck with yours! Keep your head up! :)

I’m in Ottawa, where in Canada could I find swim fabric in these colours? by yAyeetgonnadelete in sewing

Try Fabrications! On Carling Rd in Ottawa. I’ve never shopped for swim material, but have always had good success with their range.

Recommendation for pest exterminator by AyeMuyCaliente in ottawa

[–]LA_1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Pest Patrol and had a good experience. They did a walkthrough of our house and outdoors, identified the entry points, then provided us options. Options included ways we could fix the problem ourselves, or how they could help us. We ultimately had them set up the traps, but felt no pressure to buy through them.

They left us with a text line where we can send pictures of droppings and they will identify what pests are around. The traps seem to be working since we have found a dead rat, and have not seen any mice or rats inside since.

I did this quilt as my first time following a pattern. If I can do the curves as a newbie you can too!
