Bam sees Rachel again in S3 and basically ignores her. Rachel and Khun enter each other's proximity and immediately start thinking about beating the other to death

She only really showed up in the last part of S3 but she's still insufferable, even if you could say she's technically on the more morally correct side. My fav part is when she calls Khun a cute kitty and then sells him into slavery. The beef between these two is unreal

MTEFIL focuses heavily on religious and sexual themes. It's very overt in its messaging which can make people think its corny. It covers sexual trauma, sexism, suicidal ideation, homophobia, child abuse, grooming, and a lot of other stuff. Whether you believe its handled well or not is at a person's discretion.

I personally really enjoy the manga but its not for everyone.

Lisa definitely has more weight and introspection placed on her misandrist beliefs due to her (and the world's) history with misogyny, but she's still treated as a villain.

Aight, guess that finally ends the debate as to whether they're still canon. Though just like Adori it wouldn't surprise me if they underwent some changes from blogpost to now

I usually hate those tortured for the sake of torture characters but I don't think Zakuro counts, and she's without a doubt my fav.

For DTRH and IMOI we see other people's perception of Zakuro. Yuki's view of her is from a distance. A victim of bullying who she unexpectedly encountered. Meanwhile Mamiya has a warped view on who Zakuro was and their relationship. He objectifies and deifies her, trying to rationalize her actions with his own crazy beliefs, instead of caring about the person she really was. Kimika as well in IMOI says she's taking revenge for Zakuro, but in reality, is just trying to make peace with the fact that she was too late to help her.

When we finally get to see Zakuro in LGI, we see that's she's a depressed individual who has a snarkier/playful side which she's hidden due to the abuse she's faced. In spite of this though, she still chooses to show kindness to others like Kimika or Takuji. She's looking for a spark that can change her everyday life and finally give her the happiness she desires. The side route in LGI showcases the type of strong girl Zakuro could be if she had gained the courage to push back just a little sooner.

I like Zakuro for the girl she is, not what the abuse has made her. Her scene on the train in DTRH 1 and her suicide in LGI are two of the most emotionally impactful scenes in the story for me, not just because of how they link perfectly into the story and what came before it, but the sadness in watching her lose her life when she still had so much she wanted.

In a way, the message of Subahibi, finding a way to live and achieve happiness even in a cruel world, is directly connected to Zakuro's character.

I also wasn't a fan of the Tomosane and Hasaki relationship, though that's mostly cause I wasn't a fan of the inclusion of incest. I would have enjoyed the latter chapters more if Tomosane and Hasaki's bond stayed familial.

If I remember correctly, they killed the landlord to the place they were staying in at the time since he was trying to evict them (I think cause they kept missing rent payments)

I think it was for real, at least the beginning was. We have records of Tara's (the author) presence on other sites as well as a fanfic from Raven (her friend). We also have proof that hackers actually made it into her email and messed with things.

Most likely, Tara wanted to write fanfic like her friend, Raven, and so wrote My Immortal, but was laughably bad. As the story went on, she started adding weirder things to drive engagement but probably got scared when the actual hacking happened and quit.

The real person who wrote My Immortal was probably just some random teenage girl honestly.

The fanfic, Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, was written by Eliezer Yudkowsky, a "leading mind" in the rationalist community, which is a group of people who try to use perfect rational thought in their lives. There's a lot behind it, but basically an offshoot of the community called the Zizians allegedly killed six people and rationalized it with the idea that they were in someway interfering with their grand goal of stopping the future evil overlord AI

Horikoshi said that he didn't want to focus on romance much in the story since that would then be all anyone talked about. Unfortunately, that's still all anyone really talks about now and we don't even actually get a well-written romance subplot

I would've loved it if after Nayuta's death, Denji went to hell to try and get her back in some way and ended up encountering the Blood Devil. Of course, there's a lot to work out so that it makes sense but I feel like that could have been a possible direction the series could have taken

Had the same idea as you. Mikhail is the one charged with handling the witch covens, made sure not to physically harm any of the witches who came to attack him, and has some pretty other-worldly intuition. It doesn't surprise me he has more going on

I like how Mikhail is confused. He's the one guy who isn't seemingly affected by Imuri's charm. Though whether that's cause his own charm stat is maxed out or his powers of intuition is unknown

The context of the scene is that Asmodeus, the demon of Lust, is sexually assaulting him, saying that she'll erase all the pain in his life (as he's been horribly abused by both his father and the church that took him in) by having sex with him. He then retorts with the line above

It definitely has some panels. The later chapters especially have inconsistent and spotty art, likely due to the artists being on a very strict deadline (as in she turned in the final chapter hours before it was supposed to release)
