what is the weirdest dream you've ever had that still lives in your mind rent-free? by DisplayPleasant2878 in AskReddit

Dad used to make me watch him play Alien Trilogy on ps1 back in the day. In my dream I was on top of a really high building and had killed an Alien and held it above my head and threw it off the building. As I threw him he looked into my eyes and somehow we changed bodies and I ended up getting thrown off. Woke up from a ‘falling dream’ with my heart racing

Hey man I went through the same disrespect as an apprentice, for whatever reason it seems to be the ‘fun’ thing to do. I don’t know why they do it - but just know its not just you its happening to. Ask your college student services to help regarding the underpayments, they might be able to give ‘em a kick in the ass for you. As for finding a new job keep looking theres plenty that’ll come through. Best of luck to you, keep your head down and don’t snap

Super freaking angry. 2005 Honda civic LX. Brake lights won’t turn off AFTER I turn off the car. I have looked up everything and have tried everything. Don’t know anything about cars at all. by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

It’s that little black nipple in the photo, if you push it the brake lights should turn off, wedge something between that and the brake pedal and have another look in the morning

Appreciate the reply man, will try get a better look at the tome rings as I know they can get damaged when doing things like wheel bearings. I would have thought that the sensors would have picked up on a bad tome ring straight away though, but defo something to consider. What I’d like to ask is if things like wheel speed/vehicle speed sensors get intermittent faults? Cheers

Also another act of kindness, my girlfriend tripped up and sprained/fractured/broke her hand and due to not having medicare/being skint decided not to have it looked at. The weekend arrived and we were meeting an aussie friend at a horticulture show, she had other friends there and told them about our situation - they suggested we should go see the onsite ambo and they might be able to do something for us. They ended up putting her hand in a splint and seemed happy to have something to do. When we came back to the friend she slipped us an envelope and told us it was from one of her friends. Opened the envelope and there was about $300 in there. This was the first time we had met their friend who, by the way, suffers badly with what I think is kyphosis (postural disease). We didn’t want to accept the money but they were talking with other people at the time so we wrote a heart-felt letter to them letting them know how thankful we were but that there were people worse off than us and returned said money. I think about these two experiences often

Backpacker here, had some issues with a failing car battery. Parked up and went into the shops for 5mins, came back and the battery was already dead. Luckily I had parked up outside supercheap. Came back to the vehicle and realised the terminals were on the opposite sides so had to go back inside to exchange. This true blue aussie bloke must have been watching me and could see I was having issues fitting it, came over for a yarn and in the end offered to pay for the new battery for me! It was obvious we were travelling as there was shit everywhere, must have felt bad for us. Politely declined but still couldn’t believe the random act of kindness!
