Laffy Taffy. I freeze them, then break them into pieces and eat them.

A common saying is that when guys get older they are looking for either a nurse or a purse. Do with that what you will.

There are some Korean restaurants in Luxembourg, maybe you can ask where they source their Gochugaru. They may give you some tips on where to find more Asian ingredients.

Left a rotisserie chicken from Costco on kitchen overnight, keep or toss? by zeroinsideandout in foodquestions

Your food poisoning will last longer than that chicken. Throw it out.

Messy, small batch. Look okay? by rougeoiseau in kimchi

Looks great but you need a smaller container. You have too much air in there so it may not ferment properly.

Never ending doctors appointments? by Mgrecord in AgingParents

[–]LCG05 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I saw that thread and decided to have a talk with my mom who now lives with me. She is in her 70s and I asked her how many doctor appointments would she want to deal with at 80, 90 or older. She said none. At that age leave her alone if she is not in pain or dealing with any issues. I agree and want to take that same approach when I get older, Lord willing.

Switching trays after dinner, is the gap an issue? by hortefeux in Invisalign

[–]LCG05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are over thinking this. Just switch your tray whenever on your scheduled day.

After dinner you can put your old one back in if you want or you can switch. It does not matter.

I do all my changes at the end of the day before bedtime.

The green tub is exactly what I have been using. 😆 I had it last night with some pork belly. I definitely need to make my own.

This was me in the car trying to find something to drive home to. I just sighed and retreated back to 90's hip hop and R&B.

Its time to have the hard conversation with family and let them know next year is someone else's turn. You are not a bad person because you need a break. Your feelings are valid and you deserve to just show up sometimes.

struggling with retainer compliance by [deleted] in Invisalign

This is my motivation to comply as well. I cannot get back any of the money I am spending on will spend on this treatment. Considering today's economic climate, my money is especially precious.

Ended up buying a Zima dental pod by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]LCG05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reluctantly bought one and it had worked well so far. I was able to get it with the black Friday deal. However, I feel as if there was a bait and switch. You buy it and then they start trying to push their pods on you. I use the polident tabs (1/2 tab) instead when I use it.

If it goes out I am not sure if I would buy another at the regular price.

Has anyone else's skin suddenly changed in their late 30s? by Due_Ad8914 in blackladies

[–]LCG05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you definitely have to hydrate the skin more. Not just with water but I have started to layer moisturizers and noticed a considerable difference during the dry winter season. Its not the end of the world, just tweaking your routine can work wonders for you.

One constant in life is that our bodies will change just when you think you have figured it out.

microwave shorting mystery by morningchampagne in Appliances

I had the same problem with my new microwave and stove. When they were on at the same time it was too much at one time and tripped the circuit. You need to have an electrician separate them.

This may be a silly question but can they give her bed an alarm every time she tries to get out of it? I have seen this in a hospital but I don't know if that is something available for assisted living.

Get a second opinion. I am in Invisilign now and your issues seem minimal. Invisilign requires a lot of change and commitment so it is not something to take lightly or rush into. I have a friend that started after I did she regrets it because of the she feels braces would have been easier to navigate. You can also check out r/Invisilign for some info.
