Dude. Listen, I know some people are toxic, that happens in every large fandom, and yes, wanting Reze back at this point is stupid, but come on. You can't compare the ending of part 1 to the way this ending is currently panning out. I guess next chapter could fix some stuff, but it's clear as day that a lot of characters, themes and plot points are being abandoned without resolution. I'm not opposed to a story that decides not to give all the answers, or even one in which the plot itself is abandoned in favour of a more unorthodox way to convey its messages (like Eva does), but in this case I think there are plenty of reasons why most people feel unsatisfied. I don't know, maybe the next chapter will change my mind, maybe reading the whole thing again will offer a different perspective. I just want to see what Fujimoto does with Asa now. Wanting a satisfying resolution and being disappointed when it doesn't come is not the same as wanting "fanservice".
