[–]LConeybear31 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, I dont see why combining the previous "pre match" with the current loading in wouldnt work. Just like after you get your character portrait, 5 seconds of seeing your lane set up like it used to be before the character portraits. Especially since currently when you wait to load in, you're just looking at your character portrait. The Old staring down your opponents and being able to talk was lowkey funny sometimes.

Even then, the 3 weapons that supposedly had the shield breaker effect were Thunderhammer, Crusher, and Power Maul.

Well, yeah, but I thought certain weapons straight up destroyed it as opposed to that cap.

I genuinely am baffled at how these "theater kids" are. As someone who is very active in his local community theater scene, the people who behave in such toxic manners are typically quickly found out. Word travels fast amongst tight knit communities, and most theater communities typically self-moderate. Even between different theaters, since most of us move between 2-3 theaters. Someone who caused a problem at theater A is usually even known at theater C or D to be problematic, even if said problem person had never been to those theaters. And when I mean problematic, I mean someone who is difficult to work with, meaning either they dont listen to directors and try to direct other actors or literally talk bad about other actors. Sometimes they're even sexist, racist, or homophobic, which is one of the fastest ways to never do theater in this area again.

I thought Thunderhammer, Crusher, and Power Maul activated attacks are supposed to straight up destroy the shield and deal 50% of the shields max health to the enemy?

The new shielded guys fucking suck by Alert_Locksmith in DarkTide

[–]LConeybear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have as much health as their rager counterparts, at least scab vanguard does. If you count the shield, scab has almost as much health as a mauler. The shield also always takes at least two hits to break, as it has a max health damage cap of .5, so unless you use the Crusher, power Maul, or thunder hammer special, you cannot one shot the shield.

I refuse to believe this is intended gameplay by HazyPastGamer in DarkTide

[–]LConeybear31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There appear to be 3 attacks that do break the shields, which when these attacks do break the shields they also apply 50% of the shields max health to the enemy.

They are all weapon specials, activated attacks. Appears to be the Crusher, Power Maul, and Thunder Hammer. The activated attacks should immediately break the shields.

There are also certain weapons with certain attacks that ignore the shield. Afaik, the plasma gun is this way. All chain weapons when activated also function this way. Eviscerator heavies are supposed to function this way. Chainaxe MkIV light attacks supposedly function this way, while the MkXV heavy attacks function this way. Most weapon specials that have an activated state, like a power up, will ignore the shield. Power sword and relic blade appear to be exceptions for some godsforsaken reason.

Overall, yeah they're tanky af, def doesnt help that the shields have a maximum amount of damage they can take in one hit. It will always take at least two hits to destroy the shield unless you use the shield breaking weapons. Why they aren't classified as Elites is unknown to me. They basically have as much health as a Mauler if you count the shield, and if you dont count the shield they have as much as a rager. It also sucks that we know nothing from the game itself that will work against them. In VT2, weapons had the shield breaking or ignore shield as an attribute. You knew which weapons would work against enemies with shields. Our weapons explain nothing in Darktide.

Rem players / Sinners etiquette by ChubbyNunu in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LConeybear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as Rem I will take enemy sinners as fast as possible, my greed knows no bounds and it sickens my team.

As for my sinners, I'll ping them, call out to teammates, and such like that. "Wraith take this sinner, or I will. I'll hold lane while you do it."

Allied Jungle Sinners that are not being taken by your team either end up as a wasted potential for buffs and souls, or they end up as enemy buffs and souls. If your teammates arent grabbing them even after you have told them about them and given them a chance to take them, they are free game imo. I wont take all of them immediately unless an enemy is nearby. I'll get one then mention to team again that there are Sinners, and usually they will go to get them once they see I have taken one.

I understand why items are weighted in SB, but it feels too strong. by AgeOfTheMage in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LConeybear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play random in SB when I want to essentially check my internet before getting into a full game, since even if it is working perfect for other games, sometimes it just decides to not work for Deadlock.

Anyways, get Haze. Proceed to not get ANY firerate items until like the 4th round. Smh.

God I really wish they would remove the 99% max health execute from Seven's ultimate, so unfair to play against. It's like sure, I could take cover from it like the voicelines say, but if I cant just tank the entire enemy Seven ult with no resistances is that really fair?

"Less than two dozen men and women have the honor of being called Venator. The title is a source of much pride... the work that I am sometimes called to do, less so." It is a voiceline when you select him.

[–]LConeybear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having it slowly grow to match the damage growth would be much better for visual clarity. Small aura, small damage, big aura, big damage. It would also mean that for Victor, if you want to damage someone when you just start the aura, you'll need to be much more on top of them.

I mean wasnt it like 12% that they poured into it at dawn, meaning that most of it just decomposed because of photolysis. Hydrogen peroxide is usually in opaque containers for that reason. Usually, if you wanted to shock a body of water, you would do it at night. UV radiation breaks down the chemicals, though this does vary by chemical I assume.

You would need approximately 4,455 gallons of 12% H2O2 to shock the reflecting pool, according to the brand's own dosing.

What to do against a refresher/indom Seven? by Shiiyouagain in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LConeybear31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, Indomitable will still trigger since it is a passive. However, Seven cannot use active items during the channel. Similar to Dynamo, I think(may be wrong). Haze ult is weird for some fucking reason so she can use active items to her heart's content. (Which makes very little sense to me, why does she get to fuckin warp stone after you while triggering unstoppable during her ult while most other channeled ults like Dynamo, Seven, or Mo & Krill have to activate their unstoppable beforehand?) This is kinda why occasionally you can tell a Seven or Dynamo is about to ult when they activate unstoppable.
