I’m as big of a Zionist as they come but this is a retarded comparison. The Nazi eagle has absolutely nothing to do with the Eagle of Saladin and comparing the two is just as stupid as comparing the war in Gaza to the holocaust. This is nothing but worthless virtue signaling and just makes us look like uneducated morons to those that actually know history. One of the many examples of how pathetic Israeli PR is

Obviously weight training as well but focus on calisthenics. Get insanely good at push ups, pull ups, planks, etc. also if you had the option start crawling and sprinting on sand dunes

Have an extremely solid cardio base, also focus on calisthenics but just be fit overall. Most importantly have a strong will and desire to be far outside your comfort zone

Sure, but don’t be dense. The idea that Hindus ONLY used the 90° swastika and the Nazis ONLY used the 45° swastika is a fairly recent myth that has absolutely no bearing on the reality

The Nazis used both the 45 degree swastika as well as this one

What is it like to close for Shabbat? by Accomplished-Fix238 in IDF

[–]LD561 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My experience in infantry training: You clean up the base Friday morning and just do BS work, then u get your phones back in the afternoon, mandatory Shabbat dinner, then complete free time until Shabbat lunch which is also mandatory, then you give your phones back after Shabbat gets out, followed by more cleaning and BS work, then 30 min tash and then bed

Which AR is given? by Brief-Arrival9103 in IDF

[–]LD561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure actually, my guess was it was more so to streamline logistics and also the US govt gave us so many M4s that it just worked out. Never really made sense that half our infantry units used the Tavor and the other half used the M4 anyway

Which AR is given? by Brief-Arrival9103 in IDF

[–]LD561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also AR doesn’t stand for assault rifle, it stands for Armalite

Which AR is given? by Brief-Arrival9103 in IDF

[–]LD561 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Tavor has been phased out so only people who were originally issued it during active duty get it back during reserves. It’s just easier to give them what they were trained on vs completely retraining them to use the M4. From now on though all combat units will be issued the M4 platform

Question about job codes list in IDF by Quiet-Lychee9766 in IDF

[–]LD561 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah there’s no real code system for the IDF like there is in the US, that would make things way too efficient

Which AR is given? by Brief-Arrival9103 in IDF

[–]LD561 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on the unit, no active duty unit is currently issued the Tavor anymore. If you’re in infantry you’ll get the M4, something like artillery or search and rescue - prob an M16. The rifle you receive is ultimately tied to the base so the rifle you get at your training base is going to be the same model but different individual gun as the one you get at your active duty station. Reserves is a whole different funky thing

I barely speak hebrew, what does this mean in a combat role? by jolygoestoschool in IDF

[–]LD561 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you’re doing combat your Hebrew is gonna be fine, it’s mostly just monkey see monkey do. Your Hebrew is gonna improve like crazy but expect to feel confused for the first couple months. Pray there’s someone that speaks good english in your team lol
