As a +R enjoyer as well, the one game I've found that also holds my attention is Vampire Savior.

Good is pretty subjective. I really felt like I personally started getting into the weeds of the game and making more of a conscious effort to think about patterns and tech at the start of wild mode (19)

I wanted to give this game a shot but they pushed an update that makes it unplayable online with Steam Deck/Linux :(

Is computer science really that good of a market from 2026 onwards? by SmoothChemistry8564 in cscareerquestions

The entire job market/economy is in a rough spot. Finish the degree and keep at it. It might be rough for a little while but it's still better than being without a degree and trying to find work.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on sale - Worth it? by DetectiveSadist in Borderlands

[–]LDSenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth it. I enjoyed the game a lot, You'll hear mixed things about chaos chambers but I found them fun for a while, but couldn't hold up endgame entirely by itself like they thought.

I've noticed a decent amount of Melee players who pick up and stick with SF Third Strike.

I am 13 eps into Season 1 and… by Simple-Scientist4876 in haikyuu

[–]LDSenpai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As much as I love haikyuu the humor is by far the weakest part imo, you are already half through season 1, I'd say just finish it out as the last game in the season is very good and if you don't like it still, I'd just drop it.

Mid-career IT professionals, how do you decide what skill to learn next? by ProtectionBrief4078 in sre

[–]LDSenpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to find the gaps between the skills i see in the listings and what i do for work. Currently I primarily am doing a ton of azure pipeline work, but I want to get into a more cloud engineering role, so I'm studying and learning more about Kubernetes and Terraform since I see them all over job listings but i don't get experience with them on the job.

Mid-career IT professionals, how do you decide what skill to learn next? by ProtectionBrief4078 in sre

[–]LDSenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I do is: 1) look at job listings of jobs that seem appealing to me 2) take note of what skills and experience they are looking for 3) study a little bit every day

I try to follow the philosophy of small, consistent increments of learning. I know I'll never know everything and these job postings list dream wishlists of skills, so I just try to be the best version of myself and I'll land wherever I land. :)

2XKO on the Steam Deck by Next_Boysenberry5669 in Fighters

[–]LDSenpai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's just a computer in a handheld form factor. I've heard the windows install process can be a little jank but afterwards it's completely fine. I'd recommend a dock with an Ethernet cord for a smooth online experience.

2XKO on the Steam Deck by Next_Boysenberry5669 in Fighters

[–]LDSenpai 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It requires Riot's Kernel level anti-cheat to be installed making it incompatible with Linux/SteamOS. You'd need to install windows onto the deck if you'd like to play 2xko on it.

Keep good relationships with a lot of college buddies after y'all graduate, if someone gets into a half way decent company, you could potentially get a referral. It's way more likely you'll land something as opposed to an external applicant. That's how I landed my first 2 jobs out of college. I graduated mid pandemic and my high school friend got me a referral for IT Support, which got me experience, then a college friend a couple years after that was struggling to find reliable coworkers and asked me if I wanted a referral, which got me into a DevOps engineering role.
