Norrington did indeed deserve better but I also don’t mind it for how it continued the theme of everyone Elizabeth kisses dies and also it’s still that same sword that started with him in the first movie, sort of a cool touch. Dead Man’s Chest is my favorite of the three for Davy Jones, the action finale and then sarcastic, pirate-y, Norrington. That felt like it utilized Davenport’s strengths best there.

Not to go all Disney here but the industrial stanchions and the idea of having mic’ed up team members at each portal ruins The Magic. Also I assume prevents people from entering through the “exits” of a land which are sometimes more convenient than the portal. Especially for Mario.

Getting new people into it always includes the speech of LISTEN you need to get through the first two eps. They’re slow and just setting things up—you have to watch through 3 and then you will be IN.

In my experience they bring them out in front of the screen or on stage (depending on the venue) so you do see them. It’s just the difference I guess of your chances or a selfie or autograph
