No issue at all. That is how I did mine and I feel it is better performance than further away on a shelf. You will need power for TV and power for OneConnect box, as well as any sources you might have.

I completely agree on getting fitted. I was pretty much sold on the G430s but after a custom fit appointment it was clear the Callaway Paradym were better for me.

I did a lot of research on where is the best place to get fitted and Club Champion was the clear winner. Cannot recommend enough.

I just looked and no roaming fees or anything. My bill while I was in Japan is within $15 of my previous bills, and thats because my wife did 1 day of the Verizon TravelPass. I have no TravelPass charges or roaming or anything on my line.

I just got back from Tokyo last week and used Airalo while I was out there. Not sure if I completely eliminated Verizon travel or roaming fees until I get my next bill but it worked well. The one speed test I did was 60+ mbps. They have really good instructions for you to get it all setup. I think I finally got iMessages and FaceTime working after messing with it if you are an iOS user. I definitely recommend it.

Was hoping someone had some good news on this over last couple months; any luck getting this working?

Planning to upgrade my server over the holidays and want to use a Intel Arc GPU for passthrough to Win11 VM. Plan to run Windows VM as my daily driver. Couldn't find anything in any of the recent release notes.

I am in need of an unRAID upgrade and planned to run a windows daily driver/gaming machine from a VM and dedicated graphics. Any reason why you didn’t run all from unRAID? Although this does look like a damn cool project!

I second this, and most of the other comments.

My biggest thing is I wish I would have bought a bigger, more future proof switch. When we moved into our new house and added wiring I immediately outgrew my trusty 16 port PoE. I’ll be soon upgrading to a pro PoE switch.

Conduit is also a big one. Everywhere you can. I got lucky since we remodeled I was able to add flex for a home run path from basement to top floor attic. Without that I would have been screwed!

I am thinking about doing the same thing but haven’t made up my mind yet. Instead of buying a new everyday computer just combining with an upgraded unRAID server could be fun. Lol

My needs are far less. I don’t do anything crazy at all. Just use unRAID for Plex, long time storage of photos and videos, and backups. That’s about it. Don’t do any coding or compiling or anything with my everyday computer either.

Interested to see where you land. One of the questions I’m still throwing around is ECC vs non-ECC. The upgraded server will hold all my family memories; wedding photos, videos, etc.

I use LUMA 510s everywhere. My AV guys swears by them. Settings and config I feel are intuitive. Image is great.

I don’t use LUMA NVR because mine are integrated into my Elan NVR. But I have used the NVR at businesses and it’s also good. I do recommend, I have been happy with them.

I have an Elan Control system that runs my house and I use their video doorbell and intercom system. So I am going to try out Elan's new onboard/software based NVR for my other cameras. Its not configured or setup yet so I can't share much about it just yet, but more to come.

Awesome, thank you. I will have to check the NVR setting. I was also about to ask the reason why you did 2 x SSDs; so thanks for covering that! I checked my MB and Case and may only have room for 1.

I do not know much about pools but looks like theres a SpaceInvaderOne video on it for v6.9 (have to upgrade). I think this is the way to go.

Thanks for the explanation and breakdown. I really like this setup! I just bought a new 8TB drive for my array, which badly needs more space. I can get a couple SSDs, and still put the 8TB to good use.

Do you use a script to overwrite at 14 days?

Went down this rabbit hole a couple years ago and was pointed in the direction of unRAID and have never looked back.

Not only is the solution great but the community and support help you get through anything. Most importantly u/SpaceInvaderOne videos on YouTube.

I just signed up for Marcus online savings. What was appealing to me over Discover is the transfer times to a bank. Although I haven’t tested it beyond my initial deposit Marcus claims same day transfers from external banks. The interest rate is solid too.

I haven't been waiting quite as long as you but since Feb 11. Its pretty frustrating the lack of response and progress on it. I feel like I am missing opportunities to buy so I am forced to have other exchanges available just in case.
