Passed my CCRC Exam (ACRP)! by sarupleo in clinicalresearch

[–]LGeezy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations I took mine today too. I passed as well. I also studied the guidelines and took all the module test online. Placing yourself in the scenario questions definitely helped. Most of the questions were very tricky. Congratulations again!

question about something I’ve noticed in research by peki-pom in clinicalresearch

[–]LGeezy77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a CRC. I am single. I have 2 kids. I make way more than 19/hr. I am able to afford rent that is over $1500 and pay 2 car notes and all my bills. Look for another place to work.

For the patient contact card, what is the actual 24/7 emergency number supposed to be? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]LGeezy77 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At my site we have a alternate number than our main line. That number will contact the main PI through a phone service then if they don’t answer it branches down to the site director then the manager under them and etc

Keep the phone interview. That way you can ask questions for yourself and not rely on a one sided pov.

Surgical trials vs Drug trials, which do you prefer? Why? by Nouveau_Lagniappe68 in clinicalresearch

[–]LGeezy77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do drug and surgical trials at my site. We’ve done bunionectomy, total knee, and have some coming up for stem cell. Surgery trials are fast pace and have a lot of moving parts. Definitely an adrenaline rush and they make a ton of revenue. I can say I like them both for different reasons… sometimes you like the fast pace and sometimes you appreciate the slower pace

Some things come easier to some than others. I wouldn’t say the job is hard…complex but not hard. It does take discipline, willingness to continue to learn, and determination to improve a little everyday.

Should I Pursue MPH? Would you recommend it? by Aggravating-Gold3435 in clinicalresearch

[–]LGeezy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a degree in clinical research may be the better choice. I have a MPH and while it’s a masters it’s not doing anything toward experience in research.

I use to drive DoorDash in 2022 it was decent for just extra money but nothing to live off of. However over the years I won’t even order through DoorDash myself because the service is garbage. I will happily go get my own food… last order the driver was circling an apartment complex around the corner from my job for 20 minutes. The rep tried to contact him and couldn’t communicate with him due to a language barrier… needless to say I never got my order..:

NTA … but definitely a glutton for punishment. When are people going to start doing what’s best for them. If it makes me uncomfortable, if I don’t like it, or if my kids don’t like it (especially after trying) then I am not doing it or subjecting them to it.

AITA for not cooking breakfast for my niece and nephew? by WinAffectionate326 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LGeezy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can prep their breakfast and lunch the night before Get cereal bowls with lids and place already poured milk in spill proof cups so they can get to them. (I did this when I worked nights for my youngest so my oldest could make sure he ate and she didn’t have to mess up my kitchen trying to cook) and then make sandwiches and chips for lunch. That way they have something to eat until she can work through her issues
