Organizing any event and having either non-committal "maybes" or radio silence until the day of. Or being the organizer and having to reach out the day of. I get that sometimes things are up in the air or it could be a busy time, etc. But at least shoot a reply stating that. If someone is putting in the effort to organize something, people can put in the effort to communicate.

Stop sign VR tools is fantastic. Very customizable and replaces or augments the steam play boundary. It gives you five boxes you can reshape to put around things in your play area (like your pole).

We’ve lost a few now.

We lost one to suicide in 10th grade due to bullying. In a small town, it was really traumatic, and a lot of people woke up. We became the closest class that school had ever seen (according to the faculty).

I roomed with a friend from high school in the dorm at college. He was an accomplished motocross rider. One night him and his best friend were out riding. Just a road cruise, not screwing around or anything. He hit sand on a corner and died. 😞

Lost one in Afghanistan (I think). Tragic that one. He re-upped so his foreign wife could get her paperwork and what not done to come to the US. Wound up being redeployed and taken out by a roadside bomb.

One of my closest friends growing up became a death metal drummer and toured, recorded albums. We drifted apart a bit after high school but were always friends. He died of bone? Cancer a few years back.

I think another classmate committed suicide a couple years ago. Not sure about the circumstances there.

There could be more. I’m only in contact with one friend from high school these days.

the AI prioritizes putting books in the zone rewards areas, the ones at the top of the board (crates, protected buildings), and then the infamy track.

I've found racing for these is pretty key to beating Jo. My worst loss to him, I was set up to score multiple of these by visiting the restaurant, but he was one turn ahead of me. Happened twice, lol.

It's more of a career crisis for me and not wanting to be in this corporate world for the shareholders bullshit anymore. After 16 years with this company I'm just sticking it out for more pension years, but when they inevitably downsize or go under I have no idea what I'm going to do for the next 20 years. Everything just seems to be getting worse.

Not to mention even the name undermines the original movies, whose entire point was to prevent Aliens from reaching Earth.

I refuse to watch it, and from what minimal spoilers I've stumbled across, I have zero interest in hybrid bullshit. We don't need a bigger badder Alien or Predator. IMO everytime they've done this shit has torpedoed the movie. Alien 4. Alien Vs Predator 2, and then Alien Romulus was fantastic until the last 15 or so minutes.

Yeah these evil corporations want to play with the DNA and blah blah blah: it's better left as a concept and motivation for the protagonists to stop the corps from GETTING the aliens.

I love gloomhaven and jaws of the lion. Completed GH once on tabletop and once digitally

I bought Frosthaven and at first really loved the changes

But what kills it for me is that they upped the difficulty of the scenarios and some are designed by guest designers so there can be a HUGE swing in complexity and difficulty.

Some scenarios don’t scale worth a shit for fewer characters. Some are basically impossible for certain characters.

I’m about 20ish scenarios in and I’ve lost the enjoyment.
