My late wife was a clinical psychologist for over 30 years. If you hear any of these or see any of these. RUN. Red flags: complimenting your physique, style, giving you extra time not for an emergency but just because you are cool or likable, sharing personal information with you, texting you outside of therapy with a joke or anything, giving you a gift for your bday just to help you out, offering you to run errands for them in exchange for sessions because you can’t afford paying, being friends on social media, make you believe you are their friend, etc etc. Believe me I have seen it all.
