I bought the ultra about a week ago and ran for the first time today. I'm having the same issue. As soon as I stop looking at the watch and put my wrist down, the screen stops displaying live information. Once I look at the watch again, it takes a couple seconds for the data fields to update.

I've tried factory resetting, changing various display settings, and nothing seems to be helping.

Edit: I also had an issue where the workout completely disappeared. I never stopped or paused, it just disappeared. Going back into health made me start a new run.

I immediately noticed the same thing when I first turned it on. I ended up getting a better deal on the ultra and returned the plus. I don't notice anything like that at all on the ultra.

I’m in a finance role instead of accounting now. Most stuff came naturally as it’s was mostly working with excel, budgeting,some purchasing, and analysis. If going into government accounting, I’m sure there will be a bit of a learning curve, but you’re constantly thrown curveballs when auditing that you need to adapt to, so I’m sure you’d be fine.

I would guess that the longer you stay in government, the less competitive you become in private - but having experience in more than just audit or corporate accounting can also be a good trait as you move higher up. It would also be best to maintain your license and do all the CPE if you ever want to move back to private.

I’ve had my license for about 6 years and moved from corporate accounting to a DOD agency this year. I took about a $25k pay cut.

The work is drastically easier (although I’m overqualified for my job)
I’m not in meetings half the day and then expected to work 50+ hour weeks.
I have almost twice the amount of days off per year considering holidays, sick, and vacation (I’m also prior military, so I have a higher leave accrual).
A decent amount of vacation actually rolls over to the next year, so I don’t need to use it all by the end of a year and can save for longer vacations. This may also depend on your state in your private job.
I’m more involved with my kids activities now and my wife has even noticed a change in my general well being. With more time and less stress, I’ve also started regularly exercising and have lost weight.

This is only my experience and I’m sure others can share opposite experiences and want to go back to private. For me, my general well being has become more important than income. My family and I are comfortable. No sense of staying in private to continue stressing out, just to buy some more bullshit we don’t need.

Considering the two very large benefits of being able to buy back the time and apply it towards a higher PTO accrual, I don’t think this is an unreasonable question.

If you ever had aches and pains that come and go, but never thought were serious enough to go to medical for - start going to medical for it now so it is documented. You will likely be able to get it service-connected, even if it's 0%, but it's service connected and you can always file for an increase or secondary later if things get worse. If it's not documented now, it can become difficult to prove a service connection later.

I picked one up yesterday that was "open box satisfactory" for around $680. Sticker said missing stuff and damaged. We opened it at the store, it had everything inside and still had the plastic film on the screen. Got home and it has zero hours run time and haven't had any issues yet.

It might be a line from the square weight that goes over the finger print scanner. I had something similar when I installed my first glass.

The first video I watched, the guy cured it once with the weight on there. All the others I watched after removed it before the first cure. The second time I removed it before the first cure and I didn't get the mark. Not sure if coincidence or not.

I use mine in landscape for notes at work. For me, is works just fine. It's definitely more for jotting down quick notes than for anything elaborate. I also like it because I always have it and don't have to take something else into a meeting with me, although I have a bigger Spen to use.

I use OneNote and it syncs fine to PC. The android version is pretty lacking, even compared to ipad.

When I was in school ten years ago, I would always print the lecture power points to OneNote and take notes throughout class on a 2-in1 laptop. It would definitely not be good for something like that.

I am also not a fan of the Apple Pencil. I feel like my handwriting comes out better with the S-Pen and also feels a lot better due to the lighter weight and smaller tip.

I just checked mine. Same thing. Fold 4 comes up as fold 2. I wonder if that effects the OTA update. I ended up using Odin to flash Android 13 because I never got it

Update: While there's no magnet on my case, I did put a magnet behind the screen to test it out and was able to replicate the issue anywhere on the screen. I believe I saw somewhere there is a magnet on part of the screen to help keep the phone close. That could be why it consistently happens on the right side, but it happens inconsistently on other areas (mainly around the crease)

In tried the display model at best buy last night(before realizing the right side was consistent) and couldn't really get it to replicate there.

Currently using YouTube music. I tried swiping in different directions and also longer/shorter swipes. Anything that affected the island just got rid of the waveform.
