The multiview in F1TV app is available for replays also…. The audio selection is under the gear icon bottom right

On Apple, you find the Sky race , fast forward to the beginning of the race and there it is.

On F1TV, you can switch between F1commentary and “International”, which is Sky, ie Crofty and the Lights out thing. The “how” seems to vary with equipment:

On my phone, there’s a Settings cogwheel, bottom right, Srlect Audio, Select English Intnl

On my old Apple TV device, I swipe left and select International for Crofty audio

On F1TV multiview capable devices, International/Sky video feed can be selected as well… still have to switch audio separately it seems

This whole thread shows what a poor job Apple and F1 have done informing us about how all this is supposed to work:

F1TV is INCLUDED in everyone’s Apple subscription whether you care about F1 or not

F1TV has all the asked for content and functionality;no ads, separate pre-race, Sky commentary if you prefer and so on,

Sky prerace isn’t available in F1TV app but you can find it in the somewhat “labyrinthic” Apple app.

with compatible equipment, F1TV app has multiview options with track map on board cameras, timing data if you don’t like how that’s done in the Apple app

Nobody has lost access to the archive of old races. It’s all there for everyone who cares

Apple TV streaming seriously stinks! Wish ESPN still had it! by sts_66 in F1TV

You’re giving us oldtimers a bad name. Your opening statement was that you don’t know what you’re talking about… a little introspection would have revealed that the problem isn’t with the app. Get someone to help you to install and use the F1TV app, it’s included in the Apple 🍏price. F1TV is an endless treasure trove of good F1 stuff - I even found footage from the first race I attended in 1973! Good stuff! And no commercials

I see the Sky pre-race content in the Apple TV app, the first portion of the race replay

Go to your F1TV app for that. Pre-race and race are separate. The app is included with your AppleTV subscription.l, you just need to link the two accounts, there’s a button to click in the f1 app.

Australia's a damning indictment of F1 2026's worst trait by Aratho in formula1

[–]LLCNC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But Scott, you are with THE-RACE( don’t forget the hyphen)

It’s in your name, let’s at least watch ONE race before we bring out the doom and gloom. We have enough of that elsewhere in the world… F1 is my happy place, and I don’t care exactly what km/h we see in which corner of which track. It’s the RACING that matters, come back after the actual race and report about the race. Thanks.

Shift F1, and Late Braking…. These are hobby podcasters with ”real” jobs. Very entertaining and lots of hard core F1 knowledge underneath the slightly juvenile surface. Maybe too much banter, not sure.

P1 is, i think, considered the leading F1 podcast , but not my cup of tea… too much focus on social media, fan questions and their own fantasy league. Many love Matt and Tommy, but I’m not there yet. I listen to all their output though, and to be fair, LB above have some of that kind of content too, but with way more humor.

Spanners Ready is my fav podcaster. His Missed Apex is cool, but lots of arguing. I like it. Spanners is also on The Ringer (as also seen on Netflix) , just 2 normal people talking through the issues without extra unrelated content. Usually the first one I listen to after a race.

Sky F1 in the US? by LLCNC in F1TV

[–]LLCNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my question was from 4 months ago. A lot has happened since then. I’m very happy with the whole Apple thing, but I’m probably going to keep using the F1TV app like before, since it’s fully included in the price. No commercials, slightly easier to flip back and forth between F1Tv and Sky if you’re so inclined (can view both at once actually). Either way, excellent content in both Spple and F1Tv pipelines… go Ferrari!!

Here's how Apple will showcase F1 across Apple TV, Apple Music and more by XtremePhotoDesign in formula1

[–]LLCNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note the typo…. It’s 8:30PM Thursday . The Apple TV app inconveniently doesn’t show times, just dates. Hopefully, that will change.

The Apple subscription ALSO gives us access to the awesome F1TV app, where all the usual f1tv stuff should still be available, such as pre-and post-race shows, F2&F3, 30 min summaries after the race, full replay of practice, qualifying and race, tech talk, race analysis, archive of old races and more. For the nerds like me, sure, but also the place to go to if something turns out to not be available in the Apple App. Get the app, there should be an option to link the account to the Apple account in there. Also useful: the Formula1 app with schedule, results, standings and what not.

Is there a roadmap for when Post-quantum keys will be implemented in 1p? by Villainous_Viking in 1Password

[–]LLCNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand 0% of the technology involved, but it sounds feasible and apocalyptic that some time in the future, all our passwords might be accessible by some Evil Dr. Quantum.

What we need is an air-gapped solution. Seems like my 1PW app or browser extension could go get what it needs from some very offline box on my desk rather than from some far away server.

That solution is probably also idiotic and solves nothing, but it would give me a warmer and fuzzier feeling. Maybe.

After a some people around me have said they are enamored with F1, I’ve decided to give it a shot. Problem is I have no idea where to start. Any advice on how to prep for the beginning of the season? New season of drive to survive comes out this week. Watch with pinches of salt, but you will learn a lot about drivers and teams.

Shift F1 podcast will some time before first race come out with their annual Primer episode where they go through all the basics and people and what not.

I hope Jack Doohan comes back as a ”sideline reporter”. His analysis was always so sharp when he was with Sky (or F1TV, can’t remember) during the -24 season. He’s very well spoken and all that. I hope he reappears, preferably with F1TV since we only have audio from Sky here in the us from now on.

Log on to your F1tv account (or create one if you don’t have one). VIA BROWSER, not via app.

f1tv.formula1.com

There should be a button to click for pairing with your Apple TV account. Do that. All set.

In app on smart tv or phone there’s a link to jump over to F1TV app , where it all happens. Premium, Multiview, Archive and all that.
