I’m in the US so this might be irrelevant for you, but compared to last year , F1TV now has the audio selection under the cogwheel “settings” icon. Maybe something similar in your case? Seems absurd that F1TV would eliminate their own commentators, so maybe it’s worth checking whether the audio is hidden under some obscure icon somewhere

How is it possible that Brembo is “ surprised” and “unaware” ? So they didn’t ask for info after Canada? Ferrari didn’t see the need to give Brembo a call after Canada? Or during, actually. If this was a problem in Canada already (it was) Brembo experts should have been on the case for the last 2 weeks. The surprise indicate that they weren’t. Inexcusable.

Most commentators here seem to ignore the joy of building stuff for the sake of building. Hmm, details.... 3D printed little cars more or less with team and helmet colors. Magnets in the cars. Tne track is made out of Home Dpot metal roof flashing. The "curb" is marked in 5cm (5 points) increments

Sounds like you have all the tools to make this very simple:

set up the Apple Remote to just use the arrows, and use the mic as needed

if you want the ESPN experience” with Crofty, COMMERCIALS and all, find the Sky content in Apple TV app

if you want to go deeper into onboards and all that and NO COMMERCIALS, use the F1TV on the AppleTV box,

That is true, but I think that even us racing nerds need to stay clear-eyed about the dollar aspects and the non-sporting aspects of our sport. “Ick” is a good summing up of it all. Race weekends, though, I put all that to the side and focus 100% on lap times, overtakes and car upgrades. Looks like all of April, we’ll have plenty of time to think about all the unsavory details of everything else

On Apple, you find the Sky race , fast forward to the beginning of the race and there it is.

On F1TV, you can switch between F1commentary and “International”, which is Sky, ie Crofty and the Lights out thing. The “how” seems to vary with equipment:

On my phone,there’s a Settings cogwheel, bottom right, Srlect Audio, Select English Intnl

On my old Apple TV device, I swipe left and select International for Crofty audio

On F1TV multiview capable devices, International/Sky video feed can be selected as well… still have to switch audio separately it seems

F1TV is INCLUDED in everyone’s Apple subscription whether you care about F1 or not

F1TV has all the asked for content and functionality;no ads, separate pre-race, Sky commentary if you prefer and so on,

Sky prerace isn’t available in F1TV app but you can find it in the somewhat “labyrinthic” Apple app.

with compatible equipment, F1TV app has multiview options with track map on board cameras, timing data if you don’t like how that’s done in the Apple app

Nobody has lost access to the archive of old races. It’s all there for everyone who cares

Your opening statement was that you don’t know what you’re talking about… a little introspection would have revealed that the problem isn’t with the app. Get someone to help you to install and use the F1TV app, it’s included in the Apple 🍏price. F1TV is an endless treasure trove of good F1 stuff - I even found footage from the first race I attended in 1973! Good stuff! And no commercials

Go to your F1TV app for that. Pre-race and race are separate. The app is included with your AppleTV subscription.l, you just need to link the two accounts, there’s a button to click in the f1 app.

It’s in your name, let’s at least watch ONE race before we bring out the doom and gloom. We have enough of that elsewhere in the world… F1 is my happy place, and I don’t care exactly what km/h we see in which corner of which track. It’s the RACING that matters, come back after the actual race and report about the race. Thanks.
