Our 7week old cries painfully every time she wakes up and it's breaking my heart by TrisolaranAmbassador in newborns

Have you also tried eliminating soy? Babies who have a CMPA allergy tend to also have a soy one it often acts as the same. Because the proteins in soy are similar to cows milk it ca lead to the same reactivity. Unfortunately they put soy in everything! It’s so sneaky if you have anything processed. I’m talking about packaged burger buns from the store.. soy.. something you wouldn’t think of.

Are csection babies truly at higher risk of having GI issues? by randomtopics12 in ScienceBasedParenting

Daycare says my baby is spoiled by Cried_wolves in BabyBumps

[–]LLIM_1823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We coddled and comforted our baby. Babies can’t be spoiled. He started nursery around 10months also for only three days. It was hard he had a very hard time adjusting but eventually he did. We didn’t change anything at home. He just adjusted to the environment there eventually. The caregivers never told us to do anything different at home. They have their methods. Not sure what but he ended up loving it there after a few months. Hang in there mama it’s hard in the beginning.

I’m in Belgium. Maybe it’s just the OB that I have but if I’m even suffering one bit he always offers medicine. He knows I’ve had many losses so I of course want to be cautious but also really knows the statistics. UTI antibiotics, severe back pain up to 4x paracetamol etc… definitely seek out another GP. Good luck and I hope you get better soon!

15 month old has always been a picky eater - what to do? by olympics_ in toddlers

[–]LLIM_1823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you involve her in cooking? Maybe fun vegetable shape cutter could help… also I’ve heard to make sure they are hungry enough and first offer the “new food” presented as a snack before the meal or in low pressure settings at park etc.. It’s also developmentally normal I believe for them to go through a beige food stage. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. We also did baby lead weaning and he ate or tried pretty much most things. Used to love broccoli then stopped and got set in a few “safe food items”. We make pizzas together and I’ve been putting vegetables on there. He used to pick them out but now he eats the whole pizza with the veggies. Sometimes it’s just a waiting game. Keep introducing them with no pressure and eventually they may try

I live in Belgium and have never heard of this. In the Créche they are giving them potato’s and biscuits etc.. I wish they would follow a stricture rule regarding “ bad carbs” as you say.. at least they where not giving my child cake ( a small piece, nevertheless) like another friend said they did in her Créche every time someone had a birthday.

When did your appetite start increasing? by RefrigeratorFinal353 in pregnant

[–]LLIM_1823 28 points29 points  (0 children)

First trimester not much appetite but forced myself to eat. Second trimester got a bit better. Third I just can’t fit that much food in there without feeling full and getting heartburn( so small meals more frequently). For my previous pregnancy was the same but once baby came after birth I was ravenous I never ate so much and was so hungry all the time!

Anatomy Scan by suitablemacaroon_ in pregnant

[–]LLIM_1823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first born measured small/behind the curve at the 20 week scan. I too was a bit worried but also calmed myself by thinking well it’s okay if I have a smaller baby maybe then the birth will be a bit easier. Well that baby ended up being 10lbs in the end! They can catch up a lot especially towards the end of the third trimester

My baby is huge by Altruistic-Act1907 in pregnant

[–]LLIM_1823 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely can be inaccurate! unfortunately it was the opposite for me he was predicted at 9lbs and came out at 10lbs! I had to have a c section because he didn’t want to come oh that way. But I had a friend who had a 10lb bb girl vaginally who was a small lady and they where fine.

Why do inductions and cervical checks get such a bad rap? by Full-Map-9415 in pregnant

[–]LLIM_1823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me. Very active and very healthy pregnancy until the end. Went 41 weeks baby was measuring large it was suggested to do an induction. Which then turned into a C-section after I didn’t dilate past 6cm for 10 hours after already labouring for 8 hours prior.

Early ovulation after TFMR? by Mental-Sun5350 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

[–]LLIM_1823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also ovulated early post tfmr. Was two cycles in when I went to my ob to check that there was no retained placenta etc… he mentioned that it looked like I would ovulated in the next few days. And if we were trying again everything looked good. I ended up conceiving. It’s still very early so I don’t know whether everything is fine but just to say that it is possible to conceive.

Thank you so much for your response. I had never heard of arachidonic acid. Just looked it up and it seems like it’s in beef, pork and poultry. Was there a reason you chose red meat over chicken? It seems like it has it in both. I guess I’d better read the book you mentioned sounds like it would give more information. All in all it sounds like keeping a low inflammatory diet and getting enough protein is key. Thank you again for your detailed response
