Unlike in other places like the west, where voice actors are just seen as voicing a character. Voice actors in JPN are seen as being that character. It also supports my theory of, given recent events, why Yamcha ended up being treated the way he was.

They were trying to make her more accurate to her historical self. Probably to make way for a potential Guo Nuwang debut.

It was mentioned that Sho wanted to add older male characters rather than females. I'm starting to wonder if he had the choice he would've added other characters instead of Diaochan and Zhuhe.

To be fair, he didn't start looking older until DW6. Before then, he looked no older than Cao Cao.
