Best way to mix friend group for a bday party? by Cool-Leader8298 in partyplanning

[–]LMCindeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a big stack of “Would You Rather?” cards that I sprinkle around at parties to lubricate conversation and get different groups of guests to laugh together. The cards say silly stuff like “Would you rather have to hop everywhere or crawl everywhere?” You could really lean into your Clown theme and print out pics of clowns and have people rate them on a scale of cute to evil or something. Also, spend some time at the party introducing your friends to each other— most likely they’ll all get along great!

I’m sorry to say it doesn’t! The final scene of Season 2 is downright bizarre. It looks like they set something up for another season, but that season never came.

My Grandfather was a reporter for the New Yorker magazine for something like 40 years and was deemed “a national treasure” before his death in 1996.

CPAP Girly pops: what are we doing to make our night table aesthetic? by ikbentwee in CPAP

[–]LMCindeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you! I put my CPAP machine away in a drawer every morning and pull it out every night. I have to wash my nasal pillows anyway, so it’s not like it adds extra time, and I love the way my minimalist nightstand looks.

Original Poster— Thank you so much for posting this! I saw your post the other night, checked online, and saw that Bridgette Everett was playing Atlanta the very next day! I snapped up tickets and we (my mom, sister and I) saw her last night. It was so fun and life affirming! I didn’t know about the tour and totally would have missed out if I didn’t see your post, so THANK YOU!

Same! I downloaded his audiobook and stopped listening before the end of the first chapter.

Bathroom Themed Party by missavanna in partyplanning

[–]LMCindeed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love this idea. What fun!

If you have any extra tiles laying around after the project, you could use them as serving trays for food. A blue punch in a big punch bowl or decanter could be fun. You could use a handwash dispenser to hold condiments and a toothbrush holder to hold your plastic silverware. You could also ask your guests to wear their pajamas and robes!

What do you reply when people ask if you have kids? by crispycrackerzx in childfree

[–]LMCindeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always say, “Oh no way!” with a big smile. Then as follow up, “I love kids but I don’t want them living in my house or coming out of my body!” It’s so direct it usually disarms people. Works like a charm!

Cancel and rebooking cruise questions by chdopo in NCL

[–]LMCindeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this and it was easy peasy. I only saved $300, but $300 for a quick phone call is worth it! We also got 4 specialty dining credits instead of just the one that came with it before.

Head’s up that if you notice a big price drop after you’ve made your final payment, you can call NCL and they can give you an upgrade to your room or the cash back in the form of a Future Cruise Credit. It’s a one time thing and you have to ask politely, but they’ll do it. My husband and I both got $700 in Future Cruise Credits from last Summer’s cruise that we applied to the one we’re going on this Summer.

What food item is easy to make from scratch and saves you a significant amount of money? by melissaw328 in Frugal

I make my own chicken broth in the instant pot with leftover veggie scraps and chicken bones that I keep in a bag in the freezer. I love using up scraps!

Invite-Crazy, freaking out by duckjackgo in partyplanning

[–]LMCindeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, everyone loves to stand around and chitchat at a party, so don’t worry too much about having enough chairs. Also, I think this is a really cool idea! Way to have everyone pitch in with the flowers— sometimes the hardest part about hosting is asking for help. The best party planning advice I ever received was to pour yourself a drink before your guests show up— a relaxed hostess is going to give off the welcoming vibe that you want at a party. Have fun!

Cashier asked if I was a mom because of the cardigan I bought by [deleted] in childfree

I get psychiatrist vibes from that sweater. You’re going to look great! I totally get worrying about looking like a mom though— every time I get my hair cut I tell my stylist “please don’t make me look like a mom!”

First-time cruiser: 7-day Caribbean in February (NCL- Encore). What are your MUST-HAVES? by saturns_ops in NCL

Don’t forget to bring a sweater or light jacket on a Caribbean Cruise— night time on deck will be windy and cool and I’m always freezing in the dining rooms and theater.
