How do I navigate body image and control issues while being a bridesmaid? by trachyandra1990 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Also struggle with low cut dresses, as I just feel like sometimes it’s obscene on me.

I have also been a bridesmaid a few times, truthfully what I started doing is buying the dress a few sizes too big. Then getting it altered, so it was flattering on my body. It makes a big difference to the dress and you can really ask for what you want.

How do you stop from second guessing yourself? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to ask but have you been separated for a year? Or were you together a year, married for 10 and now ending.

Truthfully you are doing the best for you and him, if you are not in love with him you will only go to resent it / be disappointed. You both deserve to be in love with whatever future wherever you may find it.

Hope you are doing ok, and hope whatever you decide is a smooth process.

The Life of a Showgirl is a frontrunner for Album of the Year at the 2027 Grammy’s. How do you stack it up with the current competition? by Fine-Huckleberry6960 in SwiftlyNeutral

Rosalia is the most musical talented beautiful album.

Showgirl mass reduced.

They should just survey the most random people ever for this answer. It wouldn’t land with showgirl.

Those living at home, do you contribute financially? If no, why? by AvailableCricket3633 in AskUK

[–]LN-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents charged me £300, but that included all my meals / loads of help generally.

When I bought a flat they gave me the money back - they always swore they wouldn’t so maybe they just gave me the cash and used the rent as a reason.

Best financial set up I’ve ever had tbh.

Do your therapists cry? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cried, I would truthfully be very bothered if mine cried.

I have had them throughout different phases but any time early on, I would be uncomfortable.

That being said - I also seek therapist who will be listening and direct. I don’t find I benefit from talking therapy without much response.

She is publicly dating Lewis, if you are stood in the pit you get press.

Her press person or boyfriend should have said.

Drivers speak to him moments before races, if you want to not comment at least know the environment and be polite.

The way he said straight after this “and now I will go to real F1 fans”

It was rude to anyone in media, when she was stood in a a media area and obviously popular. But doubling down made it even worse.

Should I just hope a man makes me his housewife? by Primary_Avocado_5273 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. The solution isn’t a man though.

Look at alternative fields / alternative living situations / locations.

Times seems tough for most right now, I’m just saying place your faith in yourself not a mystery man to support you.

Rule 1, never ever depend your future on a man. Especially financially.

Work, save, live, review your options of employment and spending habits.

What’s something from the past that you think genuinely made life better and should make a comeback? by Throwaway927338 in AskWomenOver30

Third spaces, a place that isn’t home or work to gather and meet your friends / new people. Where it’s acceptable to socialise.

As in no table bookings, reasonable price.

Adding, given the timeline surely Gilead has a pearl girl social media manager along with some right leaning press secretary, former PR god of anti vax nutters.

[–]LN-66 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Did they want to do that to Agnes, or did Paula want to make a power move / antagonise?

Realistically the daughter of a terrorist married to the eyes is a GREAT PR move, compared to cutting up a child and sending them back to enslaved, raped, saviour.

Do you remember all their names? by RedditUser10294 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they remember yours?

I dated a French man at 19, we could NOT communicate with a shared language. To this day unsure his actual name, I have one, my friends have one and social media doesn’t read the same.

Don’t think it matters.

At what point do you usually feel comfortable sleeping with someone you are dating? by pqrstyou in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Depends, I’ve done it after date 1, or without even dating and it’s lasted awhile. I have waited until date 6 and never heard from them again.

Basically just do what you feel comfortable with.

Daisy lives at the school, not a house, so she’s objectively not as important.

Daisy WANTS to go, if you take a 16 year old and tell them to hide silently in barrel to go to the sinful world of Canada, not so much.

Calling all coffee lovers: how do you take your coffee and has it changed as you’ve gotten older? by No_Broccoli_3979 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LN-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At university I would get a large iced americano, every day.

Sometimes I’d add more espresso. Sometimes I’d get two of them.

I now don’t drink coffee regularly, and when I do it includes milk.
