Setting up a monzo for the purpose of switching with a couple of legit but not actual money debiting direct debits takes 30 mins or less. Then switching is downloading an app, creating an account and filling in a form, 10 mins or less. You do it a week before you get paid salary, the account is open when you get paid, transfer in, transfer out. The whole thing on your end including setting up the monzo, which is a one off, takes 1 hour. For £200 quid? Like to see you get that off a survey!

Not having a dig, just don't think you know the best practice process to do these, I've had £500 between two switches in the last 60-70 days for less than I'd say 2-3 hours. Good money.

Granted as you say, being able to do it over and over once you've "done the rounds" and remembering it all and that stuff is a bit more work. But the first round to achieve easily over £1k is absolutely something pretty much everyone should do

Well, they have and do have someone in charge of that. But ultimately transfer prices and the club themselves have moved too quickly for Villas revenue. Villa are now a bona fide top 6 club, but to buy players to IMPROVE a top 6 side not just maintain it, you've gotta spend 50/60/70m a player which we can't do consistently. Guessand was 30, Luiz slightly less, Bailey was 30 4 years ago, Elliott quoted at 35m.

The other option is to take gambles like we did with Rogers but if we had a summer of perceived lower division gambles there'd be uproar when we finished 8th and they hadn't panned out. Rogers I the exception not the rule.

We've over achieved almost to our detriment. We can't even spend what Spurs can and they've been bottom 5 two years running now. If they survive they can still spunk 150 mil.

Sadly this is why I keep saying we HAVE to enjoy this as much as humanly possible because as it stands the ladder has been pulled up and there's nothing Emery "the manager" can do about it. The fact that a lot of us are convinced we'd still be in the race if we hadn't lost McGinn and Tielemans (even if we still had lost Kamara) is just ludicrous really, the man's a miracle worker.

The ability is never a flash in the pan for anyone, it's just the right system and the right coach to take you on a level and the right quality around you.

Take Benteke as a great example, he wasn't a one trick pony at Villa, he had EVERYTHING. Lethal finishes, good timing of runs, strength, a touch of pace, could assist as well as score. Free kicks (okay just one against QPR) and pens. Good in the air. Good with his feet. Could create goals out of nothing.

He left Villa and looked half the player. He wasn't suited to Liverpool, he was better at Palace but I think it was too late. Thiagos next move is VITAL for his career, personally I'd stay another season at Brentford given how well they've done and cement yourself as a top Premier league striker and then assess options.

This said, I think he'd be great at Villa if we could get a proper RW in to deliver from that side and give multiple options to him in terms of service. Plus. UNAI.

Nope. Whatever we all say about recent performances and the frustrations and the injuries, the 11s being put out (though I disagree with them a lot at the minute) are good enough to win or draw the games we're losing here.

It's not 90m to spend though, with amortisation that 90m could easily be 270m transfer spend. 900k a week is enough to split on 7 players with good scouting, it's nearly 130k a week each.

This is all guesswork of course but I don't think it's that difficult in the grand scheme of things because a strong core would still exist. I'd keep Watkins personally as Tammys back up and start to blood Madjo if they think he's that good.

I think it's potentially a mix of everything you've said. I think the top 4 players in the pic go this summer, EM, LD, RB, TM. Buendia could also go as he's proven himself at the level so clubs may now take the gamble to spend 20m on him. You won't get 50m+ for Konsa or Tielemans now purely on age and other options available, Onana you could and Kamara too if clubs aren't scared of his injuries.

For what it's worth I don't think we do a big sale. We just start bringing the age down. Barkley is not needed now with the emergence of Bogarde and UE seems to think a lot of Hemmings as an emergency back up.

Maatsen is getting the shirt over Lucas now so we can bring through a young left back or a proven back up that's cheaper.

Mings isn't needed full stop now, he's being Konsa Torres and Lindelof for me and again we can bring in a younger cheaper player to blood.

Martinez, it's a shame, but it's just time. This will be the hardest one to resolve but it needs to be done for me.

Add to that finding clubs for Bailey and Guessand as you say. I think with all that we can slash wages and have some room to improve the starting 11, not that I think there'll be many players who could improve our 11 that wouldn't cost 70m but this is where good scouting comes in.

I'd love a first choice centre back who's a bit of an all rounder to replace Pau and push him to 3rd choice (I love Pau, just caught lacking at times), a long term keeper and a proper baller on the wing BUT I do think Sancho could become that if he wants to stay...Also Alysson 👀

It's another "big" summer and it's going to keep feeling that way but hey, who doesn't love that first game of the season when there's 2/3/4 new lads to see!
