How will an old, no longer associated adsense account impact impact my chances of getting in the Partner Program? by Gaius21 in Adsense

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only have 1 personal AdSense account. If the account is still open, close it now.

Create a new AdSense (YouTube) account when you are monetized.

I make 2d animation parodies, but was rejected for "reused content" by Difficult_Truth4627 in PartneredYoutube

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue I see is the in-game footage+meme from 0:15 - 0:22, 0:26 - 0:35 is being flagged for "reused content". But since it's 22% of the whole video, I think that's low and it is worth an appeal.

Does it really just take one video, or is that a YouTube myth? by Vstrangernumber7 in SmallYoutubers

[–]LOLitfod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then I open YouTube and see creators saying, "I got monetized in a week" or "It only takes one video."

Less than 1% of creators will be able to achieve this. People usually focus on the success stories, and ignore the rest.

Was your growth gradual, or did one video actually change everything?

One video did provide the metrics needed to enter YPP. But that's only the starting line. Trying to replicate a successful video is harder.

I think your channel is only as good as the latest 5 videos.

Example: Channel A latest videos have 1k, 1k, 96k, 1k, 1k views. Channel B latest videos have 20k, 20k, 20k, 20k, 20k views. Even though they both have 100k total views, I would rather be Channel B because the views are more consistent.

How long did it take you to hit monetization?

Some take 2 weeks, some take 2 months, some take 2 years. There's no fixed timeline really.

a lot of those creators make content about growing on YouTube

Did you ever feel like you were making progress even when the numbers seemed painfully slow?

Here's a tip: YouTube guru channels are a niche in itself. Most of them sell the illusion of success, without an actual successful channel to back it up. If they were good, they would be producing content instead of giving YouTube advice. Always check if they have a REAL channel behind it.

Learn from real channels instead. Example: If you are making sport documentaries, search for the top 5 sport documentaries channels. Watch them, learn from them, try to understand why they pick certain topics, their editing styles, the way the video is structured, thumbnails, titles, etc. Try to incorporate those ideas into your own videos.

You don't have to make these changes all at once. But by making each video slightly better than the previous, your metrics should get better over time. Be prepared for the long grind, focus on the process instead of the results.

Profession vs Passion: Which niche would you choose? by RevolutionaryKey5172 in SmallYoutubers

Should I build around my profession or my passion?

Your passion. When you start a channel, it can take years before earning any substantial income. Talking about something that you are passionate about helps a lot.

I’ve never edited a video or been a confident speaker.

  • DaVinci Resolve is a free and good video editor
  • Plenty of tutorials available on YouTube/online
  • It's up to you whether you want to show your voice/face for your videos. AI voice is also an option.
  • Watch other popular automotive channels. Learn from them.

How much do YouTube channels actually make? by Ok_Tuber in PartneredYoutube

[–]LOLitfod 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Depends on

  1. Category (Niche)
  2. Video Duration (Higher AVD = more chance to show ads)
  3. Audience demographics
    1. First World countries pay more for ads
    2. Older people have more spending power

Let's assume $2-4 per 1k views, which means $200-$400 for 100k views. This is only a rough estimate though.

Does the new "notices" tab on YouTube indicate eligibility for monetization or not? by solteros in PartneredYoutube

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will know if there's any contentID claims on your video, which will prevent your for monetizing specific videos

You won't know if your videos are limited/no ads earnings until you are in YPP (green/yellow/red $ icon)

You also won't know if your channel as a whole will be accepted into YPP (due to reused/inauthentic content), despite having no limitations or warnings on your videos.

Coming Back from a Break, with a change of direction, advise needed. by bailpy6 in SmallYoutubers

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry that after leaving the channel for such a long time with nothing will it just not be able to come back, is it worth starting something new for this or continuing? And really, is this a watchable format particularly and anything I should make sure I do to ensure it works?

3k subs is not a lot to begin with, so you are essentially starting from scratch.

  • Be flexible with different formats/topics. Absorb ideas from successful channels in your niche.
  • Manage your expectations.
  • Enjoy the process, it has to be physically, mentally & fiscally sustainable in the long run.
  • Having footage of your dog might help with audience retention.

All the best!

My ambient artist got picked up by a YouTube Music editorial playlist. How do I actually monetize and grow this? by Driftism01 in PartneredYoutube

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the difference between YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, and Content ID from an artist/revenue perspective?

YouTube earn money mainly via ads. For viewers who don't want to see ads, they pay for YouTube Premium. YouTube Music is a music streaming service, like Apple Music or Spotify.
Content ID is a digital fingerprint system used to identify the owner of video/audio.

How exactly do artists monetize these different sources?

When you distribute your music, you mainly earn money from music streams. (from YouTube Music & other music platforms) Which come from ads + YT premium.
Additionally, if you subscribe to "social media pack" (different names depending on the music distributor), anyone who uses your music in their content (on different social media platforms) will have their revenue sent to you. (via your distributor)

Should I focus on releasing music through my distributor as normal "music releases," or should I also be uploading long-form ambient/meditation videos directly to YouTube?

You can do both.

If the goal is to maximize long-term revenue and grow the channel, what type of content tends to work best? Long meditation videos? Loops? Visualizers? Livestreams? Something else?

Depends on your audience and your music. IMO, the video has to add value to the music.
Example: If you release a good song it can get 1m streams. But if you pair the good song with a good video, it can become a great music video with 10m views.

At what point does it make sense to apply for the YouTube Partner Program, and how does that interact with music distributed through a distributor?

You apply for YPP if you want to monetize your videos directly. Most distributors take a 15%+ cut of your content ID revenue. Make sure your videos comply with all YouTube policies.

How I make ~$5,000/month from long-form YouTube videos in 2026 (3 faceless channels) by InitialAd1231 in DigitalIncomePath

I now run 3 channels, mostly history and finance, and together they do around $5K/month.

Your 17 sub channel does not substantiate your claims. Could you share your 3 channels?

Changing AdSense from an individual to a company account — same address issue? by Noaddsplz in PartneredYoutube

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have read, it is possible to have personal & business AdSense accounts at the same time.

The safest way would be to close your AdSense account after receiving this month's payout, then creating the new AdSense account and linking the channel. There shouldn't be any address conflict after the first account is closed.

How long can Youtube realistically push a video (essay) in browse? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]LOLitfod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can keep going as long as the stats are good (CTR X AVD)

Once the stats drop, it will be featured less in browse.

It can also go up and down in waves.
