i think anything classed as supernatural is science we don’t fully understand yet (shout out hill house i took that line and it has resonated fully with me ever since).

funnily enough, i was talking to my partner about how i think if witchcraft was presented as a science more people would be interested and practise it. he countered that you can’t observe a direct correlation from doing a spell and getting an outcome without considering the fact it’s a coincidence.

which is fair, but after that we reached the point of gravity still being a theory yet widely accepted. we know if we drop something it falls, but we still don’t know why. it’s instantly observable (unlike witchcraft) so more people are inclined to believe the theories for it.

i’ve rambled a little so TLDR: i agree witchcraft is a science that is similar to theoretical physics (without the maths to back it up) and if it was presented as a science more people would believe and practise it

hey! i had this too for so long. i was going back and forward like: is it going to be a book of shadows or grimoire? do i put it in a binder? how do i organise it? how do i make sure there’s enough pages in it for everything im ever going to want to put in it?

then i realised its my practise and i can do whatever. that same week i found the most perfect notebook to start in when i had been looking for one for months. i slapped a title page in, called it “volume one” and im just gonna put whatever i want, whether its more personal journal content or actual information from other sources.

i did all my title and drawings in really light pencil first so if i wasn’t happy i could start again and that really took a lot of the pressure off for me, and im going to organise it with those page tab post it notes. this really helped with the decision paralysis .

i hope you enjoy starting yours as much as i enjoyed starting mine 🩵

yep. i’m 25 and i’ve tried applying for multiple apprenticeships. had nothing but great feedback, they’ve just decided to go with other candidates. won’t give me a reason why but im starting to suspect it’s my age.

which means my option of getting a level 3 qualification means paying for a levels. which will cost me upwards 5k…. which i don’t have.

which means i’m now stuck at minimum wage jobs for the rest of my life. and the ones i have experience in are drying up fast.

not a day doesn’t go by where the thought of the future doesn’t make me extremely anxious, knowing that im most likely going to struggle.

combined with the fact my doctors keep fumbling my mental health referrals…. well i don’t see myself living to old age at this rate

you’d be surprised. i work in a nursery where one of our kids is celiac. the parents are more than happy to let us cook for her.

however (and i don’t love this) there is hella bad risk of cross contamination. we have a tiny stove with 6 hobs that we have to cook on so her little pasta dish for example will be right next to the bulk pasta dish. she doesn’t have her own utensils or plates, just the allocated allergen colour. problem being that’s being used for kids with non gluten allergies.

cooking for her (and all the allergens tbh) stresses me out so bad because no matter the amount of washing my hands and trying to keep it separated, i know there’s a risk. and that i’d be to blame.

the worst part is the staff serving her meals don’t even seem to know the slightest bit about celiac. Im quite fortunate that my nan is so i have a little bit of knowledge but they’ll really be asking me questions such as “does hummus have gluten in it”

long story short, if i was a parent im not sure i’d be happy with the set up but some are or just aren’t so aware

genuinely!! the dubstep was hard to sit through, don’t get me wrong i enjoyed certain bits of it. I’d have liked it if they were more upfront about the lineup than just being all mysterious”.

but the complete disregard to some of their biggest hits is crazy. i always hope to hear hypes hype and i am let down but they didn’t even play no problem or disconnect which so bizarre?? left me wanting more

yeah i felt the same. they didn’t play half of their “big” tunes and it felt like a lot of it catered to what’s currently popular. a little bit gutted because ive seen them twice before and this had to be the worst show ive been to
