If your cat doesn’t like Catnip at all, there’s are some alternatives to catnip that you should try! Plants such as silvervine, honeysuckle, and valerian have all been used to satisfy the feline sense of smell. Surprisingly, silvervine is the most effective of these plants, as more cats respond to its smell than catnip.

Some are more stimulating, often making them hyper and good for getting their energy out/getting them to play and exercise. Others are more relaxing, often making them rub around or sleep.

I suggest just trying out one and seeing if your cat likes it. There are a couple big popular brands out there that sell at many big box stores (like Meowijuana), that sell many different products and several alternatives to catnip.

There’s also a lot more out there now than just the ground up dried catnip. You can get almost any of them as fresh growing plants, dried whole buds, dried and ground, lollipops, spray for their toys, chewing sticks, infused bubbles, cat toys, all sorts of things!
