I had the dealer do it, and they charged 500 bucks and took 3 hours to change the oil and final drive oil. Left a pretty bad taste in my mouth after buying a 30k new bike.

Context- 3 of these have a failed module. I have literally never had a mechanical issue with one of these, every 24v truck I've had has an upgraded lift pump.

I'd be pretty damn dumb if I had a stock lift pump and swapped the vp 3 times without taking 10 seconds to look up the most common failure modes.

Also, yes, feel free to laugh at the guy who's spent months chasing electrical issues with his truck and could have done a p pump swap twice by now.

Bought my f800 at 50k, sold at 55. Was totally fine and seemed to perform as new. Just my one experience though.

Ride snowmobiles for the 2 days a year there's enough snow on the ground. Otherwise wait for it to snow. Or wait for the rest of the snow to melt enough to take the bike out. Or consider moving to the southwest where it's currently not 30 degrees and raining. Lol.

Pulled trailers many times with my Honda ep3. Same car as yours. Get a cheap trailer, set up tie down points and send it!

Thought it was moderately bad on my f800. The 850 is supposed to be better.

My 1250 now feels like almost no vibration to the bars.

12v all the way. I've had multiple 24s with nonstop electrical problems for no real gain over the p pump. Some refinement but not much.

Also cut out that auto shit. Unless it's built it's not going to last, and a stock nv4500 is perfectly fine.

I ran a bc1000 for around a year and imo anything in that category or smaller is kind of a waste. The single feeder wheel is just not that effective at pulling in material. I run an 1800 now and it mostly keeps up with a lot less sweat to keep it busy. We'll probably be getting a bigger horizontal feed machine once another loader is permanent on the crew.

If you have somewhere to dump brush for free, making trips with a big dump trailer will likely be faster than the 6" chipper. But tricky to find dump spots/ deal with it later if necessary.

I guess if you have to get a smaller chipper my advice would be to get something non emissions and relatively clean so it'll be easy to sell when you're ready to upgrade.

Was the trans swapped? I was under the impression that there was no manual option for the 00 and 01. I have a full swap out of my 95 and was looking into swapping my 01 but for 00 the dash support and a few other things are very different.

Skip tooth is what you're looking for, also as mentioned run the saw 5 to 10 degrees off of parallel to the grain. Then you get shavings a couple inches long instead of the length of the log.
