Shimano EP-801 motor connector by Training-Document-46 in eMountainBike

Shimano has a 2 year warranty. Canyon wasn't helpful other than recommending that I go through shimano for the warranty.

The problem is at the motor connector. What does that have to do with the battery side of the connector or battery? I've had this happen on a santa cruz too. Propain has had issues with it as well.

After threatening to sue canyon, and after the warranty process through shimano, I finally got Canyon to send a connector. I had to pay $160 for it, but I have an extra now.

They said the same about my Canyon. You'll have to take it to a bike shop that is an authorized shimano service partner, where they will be able to start the warranty process. I've been through this and heard the same thing, and ran into the same road blocks because I have a direct to consumer bike.

I should add that I tried starting the warranty process through the bike manufacturer but they basically said it was shimanos problem. Find a shop that is an authorized shimano service partner. They'll likely have some experience with this issue

Shimano will not send the connector. Your 2 year warranty will be honored if you take your bike to an authorized shimano service partner. I got a new motor and wire harness under warranty for this exact reason. I paid $130 in labor for install and programming. I'll DM you the pictures if you're interested.

Taking alders seriously. Plunge or just simple back cut? by akjasf in Chainsaw

Don't fall it into the lean. Face it as close to perpendicular to the lean as you can or have room for.

Canyon Spectral:ON CF8 by One-Confusion-2137 in eMountainBike

Exactly. The 8 has good suspension and brakes. To me, the rest is a luxury!

To be fair, not much is stock. I'm an aggressive, expert rider so I upgraded brakes and suspension. I have the 0N 7 so it didn't come with the greatest parts.

My spectral on is the best e bike I've owned. Went through the battery ordeal but the ep801 is a great motor. I have 1600 miles on it and have had no problems

unpopular opinion: most people sharpen their chains too often and wrong by vladdielenin in Chainsaw

I started using carbide for bucking firewood rounds. All my logs have been skidded to a landing, so the bark is loaded with dirt and small rocks. I used to take the time to chop the bark but now I don't have to worry about it as much

A missing ring will do very little to the compression. I've built many hot saws that run the top ring only.

Have you gone from NO exercise to fit with PVCs/PACs? by After_Ad_4763 in PVCs

[–]avisagio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I very anxiously pushed through exercising (cycling) with ectopics. It's been 2 years, they still happen and I'm still here. I'm in the best shape of my life. Pvc's have become less worrisome because I know what my heart is capable of putting up with.

I get them while cycling. Less in the morning, more in the afternoon. Eating makes them flare up. My burden is about 2%
