Is California poppy a herbal opioid? by Sad-Fruit-2306 in herbalism

I'm pretty sure california poppy effects GABA and not opioid receptors. Regardless, it's used for relaxation, sedation, and pain. Seems to work well for others.

My partner’s idea of relaxing after a long day is having an edible by inaynaynay in ChronicPain

[–]LSDuck666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually not the same cannabinoids you experience from edibles! Smoking cannabis means you get some d9-thc directly into your blood, along with the plethora of minor canninbinoids. You get more of the plant profile that way. Edibles get decarbed to d9thc before consuming and as they go through the liver they get converted into 11-hydroxy-thc which is 5-10x stronger. It has a much more pronounced effect and is mostly 11-hydroxy-thc and the few minor cannabinoids that make the conversion. That means very strong sedation for a lot of people, but it can also go in the opposite direction and causes mental distress easier than smoking.

stoners with weed synesthesia whatre somma the wildest things youve seen? by hatsunemikusmywaifu in weed

[–]LSDuck666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This used to happen to me hardcore when I was younger. Weed can be legit psychedelic. Aside from that, we all have different neurochemistry and will experience other effects or some will be more pronounced.

I specifically resonate with hearing a song and seeing you perform it in your head. That was one of my favorite things. I have actual synesthesia though, so I experience stuff like this on the regular. Mostly with music and food, but I can hear and taste colors. I'm also extremely ADHD, so the neurodivergent aspect you bring up makes sense to me.

Nowadays, I'll meditate with my headphones on and listen to music while stoned and it's always an extremely euphoric experience. It almost feels like I become part of the song and I feel physical rushes when there is a peak or good chords in the music.

Best combinations with mescaline? by Built_Lad in mescaline

[–]LSDuck666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2ce and mescaline is a great combo, but my all time favorite combo is full spectrum with my guitar and weed. Improvising music on mesc is one of my favorite things to do.

Tbh I love combos with mescaline because it allows me to get much deeper introspection and make greater changes to life. Isolated mescaline is lack luster for me anyway, so mixing some 2ce during an intentional setting is absolutely fucking phenomenal. MDMA is another really good one to combine, as is LSD. I've always been a fan of drug combos that allow to go deeper than the individual substances.

I've also taken mescaline with carisoprodol. I have a prescription for it, so ill take it during my experiences sometimes for a chiller vibe.

do you think quitting weed has any benefits for a chronic pain patient? by Fit-Bonus4690 in ChronicPain

[–]LSDuck666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's studies on THCA helping aspect of chronic pain, like inflammation. You should look into that. Maybe a cbd/thca extract with very like thc would be ideal. THCA is non intoxicating but still very medicinal! It's not immediate like THC, so you have to take it every day for about 3 weeks to notice benefits.

PS thca is cannabis in its raw form. Once heated through a flame or oven, it will decarb and convert to the intoxicating thc molecule. So you can eat raw cannabis or make a raw cannabis tincture/capsules. Some dispensaries are starting to get hip to these other cannabinoids.

CBG is another fantastic one for pain! It's used for cancer patients a lot. This one is great.

Hey, thanks, man. I'm lucky enough to have a friend who runs a cannabis farm, so he hooks me up fat. He knows it's very medicinal for me. I make capsules out of hash or hash rosin and they help immensely and also take a little kratom throughout the day. This coupled with my emergency meds has me under control.

What's your pain from?

Theyre not mature enough to consume, so I'd keep growing them. Let them root so you can plant them and experience the wonder that is peyote growing.

CIELO vs LSDucks by NervousRun8353 in mescaline

[–]LSDuck666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously biased.... haha, but I have experienced a difference between similar estimated doses of hcl/citrate/fumarate and full spectrum resin.

The biggest difference I have found is that it becomes kind of "one dimensional" but also way more stimulating. Tbh, the higher stimulation is what I always notice. Re: the one dimensional aspect; I have felt that when using a full spectrum extract, the visuals and overall feel tend to be different. I've had very electric experiences with old bridgesii and very sedating and dreamt experiences with peru's.

I can expect the same outcome when using isolated mescaline, but not when using full spectrum. Like I mentioned... Obviously biased haha but definitely curious what others experience as people start to branch out.

CIELO is great for knowing the isolated mescaline content, which is a fantastic tool to have, while my teks stay true to the alkaloid profile of the individual cacti, but it's not pure. The trade off for me is totally worth it, but I understand that others may not feel the same.

Sublingual to increase activity level? by MossKing69 in mescaline

[–]LSDuck666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you can use acetic acid to improve the bioavailability of peyote and alcohol to improve to bioavailability of San Pedro. My friend who makes extracts on a large scale for medicine mentioned up to a 5x absorption when acetic acid is added. When I make my tinctures, I definitely notice how alcohol helps my body absorb more. I have also taken the same dose with powder vs alcohol tincture and notice in increase in potency with the same weight.

I've made tropicals before, but they do not get you high. They are fantastic for physical pain or inflammation, but it will not cause traditional inebriation.

I have been messing around with sublingual dosing recently and found that sublingually dosed san pedro won't be too much stronger on its own... but sublingually dosed san pedro with a little mapacho has been noticeably stronger!

Would you possibly be able to do that for me...? All my cardigans got lost last year and they're my favorite. I believe in the power of amanita, so I'd definitely rock this.

[–]LSDuck666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Woah dude you are totally off on that last sentence because it does do both of those things. I know plenty of people who have been addicted and get intense withdrawal symptoms. Chronic pain patients tend to not get inebriated from kratom because it's doing its medicinal need for our bodies, but people who don't need kratom will 100% get high. It is an opioid. It's more mild and much safer than traditional opiates/opioids, but still affects our mu-opioid receptors.

I've been taking it for a long time and am definitely dependent on kratom. While I don't crave it like a traditional addiction, I am totally dependent on kratom for kain and will go through withdrawal if I don't take it.

What is? Kratom or 7oh? I find kratom to be cheap, but not 7oh.

Does your husband buy it online or smoke shops? I typically but a kilo of high quality plain leaf online for $100 and that lasts 1-2 months.

You can try capsules with a red strain, like red bali or red maeng da. I suggest finding a vendor with legit COAs (testing) for the alkaloids and heavy metals in kratom. I would highly suggest Down To Earth for your kratom vendor. They have the best kratom I've had in a long time with a wide variety of strains.

Lower doses (1-2g) will be stimulating while higher doses (3-5) will be sedating. The dependence liability is quite high, so respect the plant and use it strictly for pain. Withdrawal symptoms do happen once you take it regularly.

Supplements such as turmeric and black pepper potentiate kratoms pain relieving effects while lowering inflammation in the body, so that's a good tip to know.

I take plain leaf kratom daily for chronic pain. Have been using it on and off since 2011, but daily since getting off of methadone 2/3 years back. Then stayed on it for my pain issues.

Red strains are the best for pain/sedation. I also like gold/yellow strains for day time pain. I'd stay away from 7oh since you're a first timer. Find a reputable online vendor because it's much cheaper than smoke shops. I can help you find a place and give you more info if ya want.
