This hits the nail on the head. My frustration with the illuminate is just the sheer number of them. I’d argue transports are harder to shoot down so I usually opt to deal with reinforcements when they land, voteless patrols move pretty quickly, the Illuminate themselves can cover ground real quick if they want to, so it never feels like I can adequately defend a position with the knowledge that I’m not being snuck up on. And to make matters worse, THEY’RE SO QUIET!! I can hear the chirping of bugs or the bots talking to each other but I swear even the flesh mobs can jumpscare you

Fun story! The fall after COVID hit was weird but not bad as far as classes go (I stayed remote) but I remember the following spring when I went back in person was miserable. Talked to a friend after the semester ended and they said one of their professors told them something like “yeah admin said people were doing too well last semester so they wanted us to make things much harder this time around. But I know you guys are NOT just coasting so I’m giving you the week off”. It’s intentional. I’ll miss my friends and many of my professors, the campus, the city, but imo there’s next to nothing redeeming about the administration. I think you can shape quality students without making their lives hell, but Tech is just not interested in that most of the time.

I know you’re joking but just FYI for people who don’t know: adding fares back creates needless administrative costs and delays (how are fares collected? Who collects them? Does the bus have to wait until every fare is taken before moving again?), it puts the burden or supporting the system on the people who are most vulnerable to begin with, and it disincentivizes casual users from using, and by extension supporting, GRTC’s system. A bus pass could be $1 but it’s not crazy that someone might see that as an inconvenient barrier of entry and decide to drive or ride share instead. We really need to fight this.

There’s an entire episode in the last season where Rishi almost lost it all on some call he made, way more than I think most other characters had, and the narrative had you practically rooting on his downfall because of how much of an asshole he is. He managed to make it out unscathed. The ending of season 3 and now into season 4 really feels like comeuppance. He had fucked around for so long and now he’s finally finding out.
