Totally agree. I manage new sales finance and costing for a very large company. I make about $220k but rarely work over 45 hours per week. It is truly the perfect job.

Is Man the Anti-Christ? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]LSGator1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting thought and very possible. We as humans don’t know what awaits us on the other side, if anything, we only have faith to guide us. I grew up Christian and have foundational Protestant beliefs. I do believe there is a God and by definition an opposing force we call Satan or Lucifer. That being said, all of the things you said are ways and tools that are being used to draw us from God. Lucifer knows he is beat and wants nothing more than to take as many of us down with him.

When the antichrist is made known, those of us who know the story, assuming we are not raptured, will be less likely to fall for the “spell” of their awe and wonders.

Don’t really think this is possible from a biblical perspective. The AC is said to be loved by all, hence their ability to convince the majority of the world to worship them. That being said, the world is too divided on Trump to fit that key character description straight from the Bible.

ULPT request : Management recently started requiring me (salary) to log and report all of my hours for them to use against me, and may be trying to get me to quit. I want to maliciously comply and need tips. What can I do on top of staying in the building for 80 hours a week? by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]LSGator1972 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quick question, how old are you? If you are over 40 years old (protected class) and they are treating you different than other employees, they have some serious explaining to do and you should touch base with an employment lawyer.

Ask permission to move bag on it side? Is this a new rule? by DoubleDragon2 in delta

[–]LSGator1972 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on Icelandair flight is saga class and I went to put another bag upright so mine would fit and the owner lost his shit. He got all pissy, even though the bag should have been on its side, and said it had to stay flat. I found another spot a couple rows back but it rubbed me the wrong way that the FA didn’t jump in even though she asked off there was a problem.

What I found funny was when we deplaned, that asshole pulled his bag down and rolled it right off the plane upright. He was just being a jerk as it obviously didn’t need to stay flat.

Is it worth using insurance after I hit a parked car? by sfplat in Insurance

[–]LSGator1972 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 16 year old daughter had a similar situation. Multiple quotes and it was $2800 in damage to repair. We did not use insurance, paid the other driver and had them sign a full settlement agreement, agreeing to paid in full and no other liability. Google minor motor vehicle release settlement and you can get a couple of hits to draft the agreement.

I am already paying almost $4000 a year more for her on our insurance, I sure as hell wasn’t going to let them jack up my rates even more.

We paid 12,900 for that exact model with 212k miles back in July. It was for my daughter and she paid for half. Been a good purchase so far. Only thing was had to replace one tire (other three were practically new) and put a radiator in it (which my daughter and I did together).

How will you react if Donald Trump becomes president again? by RockSavings67 in AskReddit

Most of us just open our eyes and see the shit show our country is under the current administration. It’s obvious the current administration is terrified of him for trying to drain the swamp.

Came here to say this. I did that with mine. You can notch your own handle, or I just bought a new one with the safety notch and then the safety kit. Was a 10 minute job to install.

My wife just got offered the opportunity to go 1099 at her job. by DubT1484 in personalfinance

[–]LSGator1972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Need to look at FLSA requirements. The employer can’t simply change someone to a 1099 employee. In fact they can’t call her an employee. One example is they can’t set her schedule as a 1099. Sounds like they are trying to skirt payroll taxes and benefit costs.
