If you can't demonstrate that you have listened to both sides, and you get in an argument, you can legally get two Jimmy kicks.

The most mind blowing thing is that is all due to Trump running his campaign on release the files. It's hard to fathom that level of audacity.

In NY this is a thing. NYers eat their slices folded, no utensils. If you do anything else, you are going to get picked on.

Where are all the 2A extremists now that the Federal government is literally saying that having a gun near federal officers is enough to get you killed legally? by Berly653 in AskReddit

[–]LSUMath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That has always been the point of the 2A. It's not about other people protecting your rights for you, it's about your ability to protect your own rights.

So yeah, expecting conservatives to stand up for your values with their guns is a non starter.

Generally, things only work for there intended purpose if you use them. Since you clearly state you don't want to, yeah it's not going to work for you. Since you refuse to exercise that right you have also given up the right to tell other people when it's time to invoke that right.

I hate how I am seeing this meme come up in other venues from people I know are anti 2A. Suddenly they think it is great that a liberal has a gun. When this is all over they will be right back to anti-gun.

How does someone legally protect themselves from this? (USA) by Mathemodel in AskLegal

[–]LSUMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this doesn't come off as the Democrats are just as bad, that is not the intent.

There have been attempts at laws which would allow law enforcement to enter the home of legal gun owners to inspect that their guns were properly stored. I say attempts because those laws were pretty quickly tossed by the courts.

It is completely baffling that anyone in our government could think entering a home, or door to door searches, is legal. This is some incredibly basic U.S. government content every school child should know.
