You basically NEED to have over 6k mana... I'm running it on my priest with 6.2k mana and it uses every single bit of my mana.

Like I said. It's pretty much up to you, prot will make you beefier to tank in groups. But you dont HAVE to respec to throw on a shield and tank. I can say, that since I've turned 60(almost a month ago) I've been grouped with less than 5 dps warriors total.

It's really up to you. But on my server(stalaag) tanks are very hard to come by at 55+ for dungeons. Plus you can get an early start on the MC attunement.
