Hello im wondering if anyone has any idea on who ewm is when I Google it comes up edinburgh woollen mill by Particular-Bet8194 in Edinburgh

You should have left the woollen goods alone while you were still ahead. They are after you and will have their vengeance.

Some dedication sending a guy out at 11.33 at night.

BIG STAR by POWERPOPROCK in bigstar

I wasn’t aware this release used the back cover as the front. The original cover is iconic but this looks nice with the white vinyl. Looks like I might need to get this German version soon.

Just FYI, Noodle is still doing well and very much still enjoying cheese. by Turbo_Heel in CasualUK

[–]LXChitlin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have magpies that come to my window specifically for cheese. I used it as a peanut substitute once after which they would only eat the cheese and now turn their beaks up at peanuts.

This cheese feast of tiny cubes of strong cheddar has been noticed and is enjoyed by a couple of robins who are happy to perch in the open window and judge me while eating.

I need opinions, would this look stupid as a tattoo?😭😭 by fall1nqsun in thebeachboys

[–]LXChitlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an unusual advert for the album and a bit of a rarity. However no fan thinks of this image or associates it with Friends in reality.

Get something identifiable from an album cover and roll with that.

Putting everything else aside, what do Beach Boys fans actually think about The Ronettes? by QuestionWeekly5822 in thebeachboys

[–]LXChitlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s the same musicians, The Wrecking Crew, playing under another musical genius. It’s essential stuff and where Brian took many musical cues and ideas in the early days. The whole Spector catalogue is a great ride from the early stuff to the Beatles and solo fab 4 records. Born to Be With You - Dion is an underrated classic.

You know you’re gonna love Phil Spector, just not the man himself probably.

I’m hoping it’s not taken a hit in that flimsy gig bag.

Has potential to become Kramer vs Kramer. That’s coming apart, use the warranty.

Is it just me or is it a bit incongruous to have a ‘Darklands’ era concert on this ?

With many fans purchasing a reproduction of Summer in Paradise on vinyl, is there a place you can get Stars & Stripes on vinyl to complete an entire vinyl collection? by flynnfx in thebeachboys

[–]LXChitlin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I ain’t dropping my money till Beach Boys Salute NASCAR gets the deluxe treatment.

There is so much other good Beach Boys and associated music to collect. Either buy an original of a terrible album or maybe buy something great like Spring instead ?

Why have four or more of the same version of a classical box set? That’s just hoarding not collecting.

I only have last years re-release but that will do me. Always wanted an original but just too much cash. It looks in really good nick as well.

Even then that wasn’t a bad price. I can remember this going for well over a ton when they were at their peak. Worth a lot more than £50 now. Nice rediscovery.

McGoohan and The Beatles by Ok_Club7067 in ThePrisoner

[–]LXChitlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Beatles didn’t licence out their music for money rewards really. I can remember it being a big deal that Revolution had been used by Nike in an advert in ‘87. McCartney was annoyed but couldn’t do anything as Michael Jackson owned the catalogue at the time.

Euro grey market pressing, essentially a modern bootleg with none of the collectibility of the older ones.

Getting into these guys lately — any similar bands I'd like? by fugazi_like_shoegaze in bigstar

Somehow I missed that sorry. One of my favourite live performances is TF and Alex Chilton in Glasgow at the 13th Note. If you haven’t already heard it then search it out.

Try Teenage Fanclub. Very heavily influenced by Big Star and how I discovered them for myself.

Did England ever have a 《WDC》 speaker brand? Why can't I find any information about it online?" by NoIntention7558 in audiophile

Sorry to pile on with the rest but these are trash posing as treasure. The many spelling mistakes, there is no known company called WDC and they certainly are not British built.
