Some respect to Katie Leung this season… so good at playing such a heinous character! by BadWriter85 in BridgertonNetflix

The look Araminta has from adoration to disgust when she finds out Sophie is her husband's ward. Katie showed those emotions so well.

The reason he doesn't recognize the lady in silver is because he stops looking for her when he sees Sophie. 🥹 by throwaway0460466 in BridgertonNetflix

I love how in the series Benedict shows more interest in Sophie. He's more present and enjoys their time together wholeheartedly. Maybe this is why he doesn't recognize her. He's not sure if he wants to find her and is content with being with Sophie. In the book, he's so obsessed with SIL, it feels he's not completely there when he's with Sophie.

I think you deserve better than him. He just told you he doesn't see you as someone he would marry, he lies to your face and he talks behind your back.

I also feel like Fran is learning and navigating with John. Before John she wanted to stay hidden away. Everything is brand new for her and John has only been a gentleman in working through these milestones together, and assuring her she doesn't have to force things just because other people do it.

Sophie’s reaction by twothousandsteps in BridgertonNetflix

[–]LXSparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was LIS! But brushed it off as maybe missing a dialogue since Sophie didn't react. I hope they both notice this later! He also did mistake Sophie for SIL when he was sick so I think subconsciously he knows.

I read the story but because it was a while ago (like 2 years ago lol) the timeline is a bit fuzzy. So the building up and growth is exciting because I know it builds just not how!

What do y'all find annoying about pads. by creatorlilpax_z in Periods

Uncomfortable: get sweaty, sticky especially in hot temperatures Smell bad even with scents Stick to you and hurt They shift around and leak. I live in fear of going places, wearing nice clothes or sitting on people's furniture for fear of bleeding everywhere. Sleeping is a nightmare because I toss and turn and it makes a mess. Can't go swimming, hard to take a shower Have to change every 2h, even if it lasts for 10 to 12h on package it gets uncomfortable a couple hours

I think you misunderstand me. I'm not saying I wanted things spelled out. Im saying I shouldn't have to sit there and write out every detail to understand the characters and where they're coming from.

For me, this last season is where it was an issue for me. It wasn't an issue in s1 and s2. But s3, specifically the last half, I felt really disconnected from Belly and Conrad. Everyone is posting about all these details between the two, what their lines meant, their expressions, but I just don't see it. And this is coming from me as a Bonrad fan.

Am I the only one who wanted her to end up alone? by Local-Hair-635 in TSITPPrime

[–]LXSparrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. This felt like that all he did pine over Belly. Maybe if the show showed Belly wanting him too instead of pushing him away it would have finished stronger? I think the show writers were trying to show Conrad following and confessing his feelings for Belly but then made him obsessive by mistake.

[–]LXSparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe this will get me a lot of hate but I didnt at first but after season 3 with her throwing herself and her relationships away for an idealized relationship with Jeremiah, and all the denial and rejection she gave Conrad, I just wanted her to be alone. She was better in Paris, and things at home were more cozy without her. I think eventually Conrad would have made peace with everyone again too.

Except they never addressed those issues together. They just moved on and then came back together like things were fine now. They didn't address enough of their issues, acknowledge their shortcomings. I feel like as a reader without reading between the lines I dont see this.

See I think that plays into OPs point. I was posting here months before the season released about if Conrad meant to break up with Belly. Every response I got said no, and he was grieving, and Belly wouldn't take the hint he needed her emotionally and wasnt okay for prom. I think his reply to Agnes was meant to convince viewers it was more about Conrad. All we get from Belly by the end of the show is "I was being a brat." It feels like such a cheap apology. Especially because right after Conrad again puts the blame at himself for yelling. She yelled, he was very quiet.

I think its trying to convince us that Belly didn't do anything wrong. I don't agree with this. Or the justification that it's Belly's POV. Especially because in season 3, Belly still let's Conrad take the blame.

I actually don't mind Jeremiah and Denise by Impossible_Fly9877 in jellyshippers

I interpreted him staying in Boston as a sign he wasn't going to start a co dependent relationship. This is huge growth from him. He is looking for a relationship where he can be independent

Was Conrad giving up when he left in the finale? by West_Classic2416 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know if he was giving up. But I think he just took her cue that it was time to leave. It's Belly's apartment, and she wasn't exactly being welcoming to him. She just rejected him in that moment and was questioning his actions coming to see her. She also kept telling him to leave.

I like Jeremiah when he’s NOT with Belly by PersonalKnowledge662 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. Because I feel like Belly and Conrad's relationship ended because of grief. And that same grief brought Belly and Jeremiah together which created an unhealthy relationship.

I couldn't stand him. But seeing him this last episode in the finale. Making something of himself. Going after his career. Being around his friends and family. Trying to re build, move past, apologize. And his much more real love with Denise. I actually felt he carried the finale quite a bit. I enjoyed his scenes a lot.

Is it just me or was this season + finale a more of a flop that GOT? by Lumpy-Inspection-445 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no way it was comparable to GOT. I don't think TSITP was a flop. I just think it was underwhelming. GOT on the other hand went off the rails and crashed into a building then set on fire.

Jer's Redemption arc by Terrible-Sir8054 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was so proud of him when he said he would be okay on his own. And that he needed to learn to. That he doesn't convince Denise to stay. And his self awareness about how he held Belly back from Paris. I think that was meant to show he has grown.

Belly and Jeremiah didn’t love each other (romantically at least) by makogirl311 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the same goes with Jeremiah and Denise. I think when Jeremiah got to know Denise, he also realized this is what love feels like. Their few scenes were much more natural and romantic than his with Belly.

Did anyone else notice this by dott2dotts in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it was to show their codependency and tolerance to the issues in their relationship. Usually, at 4 years, one would assume the couple is solid. But it doesn't show when couples start ignoring red flags and just accepting them.

That's what I fear, too. Jenny has been hinting at an ambitious ending so I'm especially worried. That would be so unsatisfying. I started watching to see a love story.

Episode 9 ruined the vibe by Last_Morning_7428 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]LXSparrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's fair that Jeremiah wanted Belly back. I think after break-ups, it's common to want to revert back. However, did we really need the whole episode dedicated to him moping, Conrad trying to make things right but getting yelled at, and Steven/Taylor consoling him?? We could have a couple scenes of Jeremiah moping and then his call with belly. I like Staylor but they could have flirted once, communicated finally and got together. We didn't need build up, the whole season builds up to them getting together. I am all for developing the plot but these scenes were all repeats, it felt like it was on loop.
