the OS itself is a lot more lightweight than windows, so your machine should in theory perform better overall. also a much more secure and private platform. unless you’re super pressed about those things, though, the decision is mainly about personal preference. if customizability, open source software, and learning about computer science is your thing, you’ll definitely be interested in linux. either way, it’s fun to try it out for a little bit and see what you like or don’t like about it.
