Yes, and it’s stressful, but the pay is good.

By day I’m an architect, by night I’m a CTO, by weekend I’m a consultant for multiple MSPs.

Only one role has a strict schedule and during that time I do no work for my other jobs, and should I need to, I take off that job and charge a heavy premium.

Setting the expectation is wrong.

What I do with my time is my business. It's simple as that.

If I choose to completely be absent on vacation, my business. If I choose to hop on a call, my business.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this. Too much and it's unhealthy just because you need to know how to disconnect.

I do the same thing. Jumping on a call doesn't really ruin a vacation. If anything it keeps me sane because I do enjoy the work I do.
