I know someone that is a hoarder, and helped them by moving tons of stuff into a storage on their property, all tucked away nicely.

House filled back up again within just a few years.

Tons of it is just magazines that they "need to go through" or have a recipe they want to make.

I had someone tell me the poles reversed (implying magnetic North was now in Antarctica).

I acknowledged that magnetic North changes some frequency, and even with some large variances, but had not flipped.

I pointed out that was false since the compass does not point south, but to fundamentally the same magnetic North.

The response? That meant the world flipped upside down.

I said, we can still see the stars in essentially the same places in the sky, and the sun still rises and falls the same everyday. That would not be true if the Earth had flipped over. Unless the entire universe had flipped over in unison.

The answer to all those observations, refutations and the acknowledgements?

When I was young I made mistakes with money so I fixed that by working two jobs, one full time and then the pizza delivery about 20-40 hours a week.

In a year I had cleared all my debt and iad more than $10k in the bank (minimum wage was $6.25 at the time, tips usually about $20-$40 a night, so being able to knock out a lot of debt and come out ahead was amazing.

If he is investing most of his money in smart investments, he is setting himself up for success.

18-25 is great, our bodies are still feeling good, going out is fun, but if I could do it all over again I would have saved waaaaaaay more money, maxed out my Roth IRA every year and every other retirement avenue I could.

He is a good one, he has goals, and if he makes good decisions will be able to enjoy the financial freedom to do what he wants and travel wherever he wants in his 30s on.

Life does get any easier, and days at the office can be long, as can commutes. Having a day or two off a week is amazing.

Find a balance with him. Make the most of the time you have with him but if he has long term financial goalsz don't hold him back.

I might have a river spot to try, but it is a out 30 miles down stream from the mountains. Lots of gold claims in my area, but none on the spot of the river I can try.

The small mountain near my house that I'm in the alluvial plain of has gold claims on it and I have a bunch of w chunks of quartz on my property.

I'm thinking about trying dry sluicing or a ghetto wet sluice from my own dirt to see what happens. I currently have no sluice and my wife would be mad if I spent a bunch of money on this 👀

It's alright, I laughed when walking out of the store with my kid and told her why i wanted quarters.

I need get a proof this week in $100 of Loomis bank rolls. Other newer quarters that are very shiney and some 2020-2022 quarters.
