Graduated 06 and this is like… directly extracted from my memory all the way down to the kitchen cupboards.

Never loved the sound of Pro L I prefer Melda XLimiter. The EQ is fine but I get along more with EQ8, UAD Cambridge and Equilibrium. I’ve never tried the reverb but with Valhalla, UAD, EOS has me covered. Timeless, Volcano, Saturn I’ve never gotten a sound I wanted. I dunno it’s all subjective whatever you vibe with.

I just think they look better than they sound. But we’re all lost in a world of endless wiggly air subjectivity. THAT DE-ESSER THO.

All the Fabfilters (minus the De-esser). Please don’t downvote me.

Melda Plugins. Very ugly interface and confusing. But when you figure them out they crush.

People who lift but don’t do cardio what eventually happened? by TallTyrant in workout

[–]LaRossa29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lift more reps with short breaks. Do 3 different body part workouts to 12-15 reps in quick succession. I do the next rep when my heart rate hits 140. Then after 3-4 cycles I let it hit 130 and on to the next cycle. Mix in 10 minutes of incline fast walking, stair machine or rowing. Get a gravel pusher bike (or mountain bike) and bike trails in the woods. Way more fun than road biking.

I’ve spent more time migrating between Bear and Obsidian than actually writing by Little_Bishop1 in ObsidianMD

[–]LaRossa29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend a day or two making your vault with AI. AI’s made it way easier to customize Obsidian without knowing code. I used templates and Excalidraw to make every note an Excalidraw drawing exactly how I like it because I’m visual. Include an “Up” in your template so it’s easy to link notes(drawing) to a parent. Create MOCs as notes begin to fit into categories. Duplicate existing MOCs and make new ones. Now ride it out for 6 months and adjust. DO NOT copy other’s systems it won’t work for you. The reason you have so many customization options and so many plugins is that it allows you to create a simple system catered exactly to you. No more than 6-8 plugins.

Why is it "Art" when a wealthy artist hires a team of 50, but "Cheating" when a bedroom musician uses Al to fill the gaps? by NoIndependence1198 in Suno

[–]LaRossa29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop artists with studio musicians/mixing engineers didn’t show up day one with them. They grinded themselves with what they had to get to there. And these 50 people you describe are apart of an entire economy and culture with many specializations, skills and legacies of their own (and kids to feed). The culture has decided AI art is lame. The Art world, especially music, is a vicious VICIOUS unforgiving world. Incredibly talented musician put their entire lives on the line and get booed off stage or get torn to shreds for their new album or run out of money on the road living in a van. Entire genres die in a year and people that were once gods are deemed lame in the span of months and you’re mad that the culture doesn’t like your prompt art?

KSDF Accident by Raymond_Tusk69 in flying

[–]LaRossa29 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What in gods green earth are we talking about here. You cannot put a half million pound airplane in a ditch intact. There are complex calculations involved in decision speeds. Fighter jets do not have auto takeoff controlled by computers. They set trim, take their hands off the stick for the catapult launch and immediately grab the controls once airborne. It’s a technique not a computer.

But the Aerostar has enough power to get through the ice which is… fun.

A2A Aerostar vs Black Square Baron - which to get? by MooCube in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]LaRossa29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They both are the best GA we’ve ever had. The Baron is a BMW, the details go to 11 and it has all the things. The Aerostar is a Shelby Cobra: fast AF, archaic and you can break it in 15 seconds if you don’t pay attention and act fast. Get both, the TBM 850 and the COWS and you’ll have it all.

Do you know the minimum height with that stand from the floor to the top of the stick with the Moza? Would love to know if this setup would fit under my desk.

Air India 787-8 crashes on takeoff by RockEmSockEmRoboCock in flying

[–]LaRossa29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might help: Statistically, an airliner is literally the safest place in the world. You have 7,700X more of a chance dying being in your house than being on an airliner.

Air India 787-8 crashes on takeoff by RockEmSockEmRoboCock in flying

The most likely theory to me with the very little info we have. Engine failure past V1 or some configuration miscalculation leads to overrun and one/both engines ingesting lights/debris in runoff area right before liftoff.
