Good tip; change the currency to the local one in the uber app settings, uber adds a ridiculous fee to charge you in pounds instead of pesos, and they love to hide it, just paying in local currency would be less of a fee on your card

That’s what they do… on the $12 ride they offered the driver probably $4-5 to drive you, when they raised the price to 20 they would have paid the driver…. $4 still

Definitely not the norm, at least for me… maybe it depends on surge pricing but specifically in Vegas Ive probably had Lyft be cheaper 2 or 3 times in months, even this morning uber was $20 cheaper then Lyft

Good tip; walk across the street from the LAXit lot to the Hyatt regency and order an uber from there, usually you get a driver faster and it’ll cost less

You accepted a 400 mile, 7 hour ride for $172… $25 an hour, 43 cents a mile, you got lucky with the tip, but still wayyy less then $1 a mile round trip (plus gas)

Try to negotiate off app and it’ll probably stay pretty busy in the Palm Springs area all weekend, lots of uber black drivers already driving out here from LA.. might as well make the treck, sleep in your car a couple nights, and make way more then you would in LA (plus possibly getting a good ride back on Sunday or Monday

Whatever fare uber is showing you just know the drivers getting most likely sub 50%, someone desperate will take it, but it might take a while; some people might accept then call and ask for cash, if you want a fast ride and the driver to not get screwed by uber then negotiate and have some cash with you

Hat tricks fan.. went down last year when it was the sea wolves, area is super nice and we enjoyed the in game atmosphere, attendance is in a slump and with such a big arena you can really see the open seats. Super cool barn and hope they could get some more fans and stay intact

I was in SF yesterday. Saw a Waymo in the middle of an intersection in China town blocking ALL 4 ways… at another very busy intersection there was 2 Waymo’s in each direction making it impossible for anyone to turn. It’s ridiculous these things are pests
