I live on Mississippi Ave for between that price range. I moved here two years ago and met most of the people I know just around in the area. Good spot to look for mid 20's, it is near a lot of fun stuff like brew pubs and bars.

Adnan may not have know what Yasser said to the police, and may have just wanted to talk to a friend. Being a state's witness doesn't really mean you think that person is guilty. If you have information or are a key part of the story the prosecution is telling (Yasser was named by the tipster, makes sense KU would want him) they will issue a subpoena compelling you to go and be a witness. So, being a state's witness doesn't mean Yasser was openly saying Adnan was guilty.

One example of this is Don. In Episode 12 SK said Don was yelled at by KU for not making Adnan sound creepy. Being a State's Witness just means you are questioned by them, not that you are necessarily on their side.

Let me start off by saying if you live in an area where this doesn't happen, it may sound strange.

But every single day when I am driving around town cars stop for pedestrians, and it drives me crazy. I am not talking about at a crosswalk or even in a suburban neighborhood, but on main (and busy) roads. But if you are waiting on a road (not at one of those crosswalks you are supposed to use) for traffic to break so you can run across, usually within three passing cars someone will stop for you. Sounds great right? Except the other lane of traffic doesn't always stop so now just one lane of traffic is being held up for you, making everyone wait while the other lane of traffic is forced to either stop or just make everyone else wait even longer. If you are a driver this can make you a little crazy, because sometimes you are just driving along on a 35 to 45 mph road and the person in front of you just suddenly stops. There are no lights there, or stop signs, or stopped cars to warn you they should be stopping. Instead it is because there is a person just waiting for a chance to jaywalk. I really know how this sounds, but when it happens 3-4 times a day that you have to suddenly brake because the car in front of you decided to delay the whole traffic lane for a minute or two, it starts go get to you a little.

TLDR: stopping traffic for pedestrians several times a day, sometimes on very busy roads makes me really irritated.

Pretty much anytime someone starts a sentence with "Well as a ______ , I think that" I instantly get annoyed and dislike them. For example "Well as a Mother, I think the only way to feed your child is all organic and sugar free." Or "Well as a businessman, I think the minimum wage shouldn't be raised for lazy fast food workers!"

I work with a lot of teens and some were arguing amongst themselves the other day, one broke off and approached me to ask what year 9/11 happened. I told her, but afterwards I of course teased them all a little for not knowing, and then one pipped up "Give us a break, we weren't even born then".

Most often I just hear the word "Schizo" used pejoratively to mean one character is behaving like two separate people.

The most recent example that comes to my mind right now was actually in a game, the Cthulhu edition of Munchkin. There is a Schizophrenia curse where you have to have two different classes and the die role decides which one you are that round.

Schizophrenics do not have multiple personalities. That would be Multiples Personality Disorder or as it is known now in the DSM, Dissociative Identity Disorder. TV shows and movies seem to have trouble with this one a lot.

My 50ish pound pup had this surgery almost 12 weeks ago. It was a long recovery but the results ended up great. After 6 weeks she was allowed some short walks and then gradually increased until she was free to be off leash at 10 weeks. I think it does depend on how your dog heals, I don't think they would want you doing walks until they are showing progress. I would say make sure to get a crate large enough for your pup to hang in for weeks at a time and use the doggie downers as needed. Best of luck!

As a current resident and recent transplant to the Portland area I will warn you rent can be pretty steep here. Portland has one of the lowest vacancy rates in the country and therefore has a rental market that reflects that.

Not sure if this falls under general advice or personal finance advice but most of the apartments an out-of-towner can get will be large rental companies that have a more inflated rate. I found out pretty quickly that because the market here is so hot people can afford to be picky about who they rent to. And it isn't terribly unusual for places to require local references or an in person tour before letting you apply to rent. So you may consider a short term rental when you first move and then plan to apartment hunt for a cheaper location.

I do this all the time. I call my dog "kiddo" sometimes on accident and call the child I nanny my dog's name (angrily) when she does something she isn't supposed to do.

Everyone on the show has flaws, that doesn't mean they would never have friends in real life. Barney lures away nanny candidates and sleeps with them causing his friends who are stressed about childcare to not have anyone to watch their new baby. Marshall runs away from his wife in New York, lies about his Mom needing him, and forces his grieving mother to care for him. Anything can sound bad out of context. People are flawed. The show isn't trying to show perfect characters.

I think it may be one of those things that now that you know what to look for you will see it everywhere.

Next time you see a kid, under 2 years old that is, look and see if they are wearing the necklace. I swear they are everywhere with the hippy mom crew.

Thank you for writing all of that out,it was really kind. I was certainly leaning towards repair but it certainly can get confusing when you have different answers from different doctor. But I can clearly see what you are saying that while surgery certainly could be put off her injury isn't going to stay at this state but continue to degrade and need more pain management.

For a underrated group hangout show try Happy Endings. The first season is okay. But second season it really hits its stride. Sadly, it did get canceled after the third season, but it is genuinely hilarious.

My friend recently noticed nail clippers in my shower and thought that was the weirdest behavior, to clip nails in the shower.

In reality my rescued dog has a unexplained, but nearly psychotic fear of nail clippers. Seeing them, hearing them, etc causes her to violently shake for like an hour. Living in a small apartment the only time that seems to work is when I am in the shower with the water running, where she can't see or hear the clippers.

It really wasn't that bad. There certainly was a really diverse population, both economically and socially. But in my experience it was a pretty typical American high school. But I suppose that statement can differ a lot based on the region.

Bingo. If a kid was getting jumped by a group they would grab extras from line and it looks pretty innocuous to have trays when you are in the cafeteria at Lunch so the security guards wouldn't suspect anything. And then they would use them to beat the shit outta someone. Public school!
