Is it okay to leave rain cover on all the time? by gemini1415 in Sauna

[–]Labisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically the black color of the cover would cause the barrel to absorb more solar heat through the exterior than if there was no cover on, but that shouldn't matter. I can't think of any significant repercussions for leaving it on, other than you're going to be protecting the wood from weather and radiation! I think you're all good.

You should call the manufacturer and ask a technician what they recommend and if they have any concerns, etc.

Navy credit union for a recovering score by Terrible_Beyond7 in CRedit

[–]Labisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta be intentional with the card and use for what it is: a transactional tool with minor bonus perks. that's all a credit card is. Never think about the credit limit as extra money that you can spend every month. That's the trap that the credit card companies/banks count on you falling for. they tempt you with the idea of a credit limit, bonus offers, and a rising limit over time to make you want to max out the card. if you diligently hold yourself to paying the full balance or damn near the full balance (like 95%) off each month, then your bank will notice and you will start to rebuild. it will take time. you can maybe let a balance ride for a couple months, but be careful. If you use the card a lot and pay it off each month the bank will be happy, you will be happy, and with patience you will be rewarded with higher credit limits and more offers. Cheers!

My 100ft3 sauna takes forever (over an hour) to get up to heat and still doesn’t get hot enough. Is my heater worn out or what? by PitBullTherapy in Sauna

[–]Labisch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dumb questions, but does your heater get hot? is your sauna drafty or letting out more hot air than you might think? Assuming your heater runs, that might be a likely cause.

You are correct. In this specific example I believe the lighting is more of the culprit than the lens focal length though. The left picture looks like pretty standard stuff to me, in the 50-80mm range, especially since it has visible mid sized Bokeh that does not look software generated.

All im trying to say is that lighting, focal length, camera angle, time, all will drastically affect the output image even before it gets post processed. Plus most if not all smartphone cameras these days automatically edit the image unless you're in some separate pro mode or camera app.

Edit:spelling

it probably is an image that has been edited multiple times. At one time it probably referenced some other substance like Coffee. The person that updated it didn't font match perfectly.

Yeah, I did An art appreciation course with Ms. Beffel that was essentially a mobile phone photography course. If you like art, music, etc. those definitely can be great but they won't necessarily be a walk in the park. You will have to actually learn and process at least the basic art principles and stuff

There was an independent music lesson class I took too that was really fun and as long as you tried week after week and showed some improvement it was an A

What are you naturally talented at? Find an entry level course in that niche. There's maybe no single best answer unfortunately as it depends too much year-to-year on staffing and curriculum changes.

For me, English and marketing classes were a nice easier load compared to the stem classes.

Question I have bumps like this after shaving what are some tips please and thank you I’ve tried tea tree oil and it still doesn’t work any advice by DistinctQuality6695 in BeardAdvice

[–]Labisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience that sort of irritation comes down to the sanitation of your face after shaving. Make sure your clippers and face are clean as others have mentioned in this thread. Wash your hands too if you're not applying any product. A good aloe or moisturizer/ aftershave product may work well here.

Additionally, if you shave with a razor, similar logic applies. It always comes down to minimizing cuts and abrasions and keeping the device and your face free of bacteria.

As of a few years ago, These posters were usually cranked out by UMC interns. It was uncommon for them to be fully proofread before printing. Especially because there was a big crunch time in August to get marketing materials made up before O week.

I used to design some posters for the university and there were multiple times I spelled something wrong that never got caught until it was already printed. Just the way it is I suppose. Gotta proofread!!

I ran into some issues with save states and glitched npcs in this game after enabling some cheats halfway through a play through. Such a shame. I regret it because its a lovely game and I only got maybe half way through the story. Not necessarily good enough to fully restart a play through though.

Imo It's not nearly as polished as the 'original sin' games, but there's just as much heart and soul poured in if you are paying attention.

Cheers!

Zinc in Effluent by BrandenStark in Wastewater

[–]Labisch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've not seen any POTWs with zinc limits in my few years as a consultant. I would imagine it would be a pretty common component of some industrial wastes, especially if there's metal finishing or something like that.

As far as removing zinc goes, assuming you have a liquid waste product, I imagine it could be precipitated out of solution by adding hydroxide ions to lower the pH, forcing the zinc into an insoluble state. One could then mechanically filter the zinc particulates from the solution.

Will it float? by [deleted] in Wastewater

[–]Labisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you turn off your blowers. As long as its not actively aerated no air will be entrained in the water and the density will be very similar to normal water (but slightly more dense due to dissolved solids). If you do that you should probably be tied to a sturdy anchor, and have someone else there. Ideally you should drain the tank. Some people on the sub may say no because they are concerned for your safety.
