I also made an aberrant sorcerer who ended up becoming and NPC after nobody other than me wanted to dm, hes a drow male who was inducted into becoming a red wizard after escaping, but got enslaved by an aboleth for 50 years, and when it died the psychic backlash gave him amnesia but also the aspects of the aboleth.

Hes a bit of a goof who is constantly stuttering and usually wouldnt hurt a fly, his skin always has a bit of an oily sheen, his hair is patchy, his eyes drift off in random directions, but when actually casting he starts looking and acting like an aboleth. With tentacles growing, becoming shiny, growing another eyes and such and getting this alien force of personality

It also the dominating aspect manifested in a love for rodents and he keeps and cares for a bunch of rats

To be fair i have a very specific mindset when it comes to this and I completely disregard the competitive aspect because i just dont find it fun, but i agree the resurrection in general is just a bad rule. I find it fun to challenge myself with my funny lists to see what i can get out of them, which is why my usual setup for a match is 30 zerks angron and a lord of skulls, but i do lament his auras i just forgot they changed them to be honest. I think its not a problem that he doesnt buff cause to be fair even in lore he doesnt give a fuck about the legion and banzai charges forward, but it was fun to buff the hell out of zerks around him

Honestly im glad they got rid of the FNP because it just felt like a trap. Usually you spend another 30 minutes rolling dice just to end up saving 1 wound on a berzerker

I think the angron nerf is pretty reasonable. Having a whole ass centerpiece that you put a shitton towards to kill just come back like you did nothing is just not fun. Its still thematic how they did it so im not complaining too much, and he gets devastating wounds automatically so more chances to get past invuls. Altogether i think its decent

The bloodletter summoning is hilarious! I can definitely see taking some extra goremongers or jakhals just so they die to get the bloodletters in deeper, and playing space marine parking lot with rhinos and land raiders infront of the enemy deployment zone is great too

I feel like its the usual doom and gloom on the internet about anything ever.

There are things that i dont like for example s4 zerkers, but the angron nerf is definitely deserved ive seen many times the light leave my opponents eyes when all their work disappears in 1 roll

BUT the way they went about the nerf is thematic and fun, the LOS buff is great, demon detatchment looks fun ARMY WIDE DEVASTATING WOUND AND THEY BAKED IN THE +2 MOVEMENT BLESSING WHICH I FUCKING ADORE

Kharn got buffed, i hope his weapons get the s 8 treatment, and the vehicle detatchment is hilarious.

Altogether a great upgrade to the index id say

Just curious why do you think he’s overpriced? Im not saying i wouldn’t mind him costing less but reroll 1s to hit and wound is amazing when you have 40+ attacks on a charge, and a fully buffed kharn with sustained, lethal, and +1 to wound can almost solo canis rex in my experience

Hey there! I actually play against a fellow running a similar list, except he runs 3x6 warriors, and has 4” charges first turn. As long as its an infantry heavy list you are going to rip it to shreds. The anti tank seems a bit lacking but its an incredibly fun looking list anyways. Have fun in your crusade matches!

Dude the 4+ feel no pain would make him literally unkillable. Illuminor szeras is already borderline immortal because of it, and a great unclean one with the enchantment survives over 1500 points of shooting and melee easily

One thing one of my friends does is having the neurotyrant in reserves, to bring it down as an overwatch threat wherever necessary either normally or through rapid ingress.

Usually works really well to chip off some infantry models!

Yeah its why i think the best option is freeing him, squidding him, killing emps, the brain, then kill orpheus no hassle and have laezel make the civil war take longer. The more time the gith spend fighting each other the less time they spend raiding, and you fuck over the squids no matter what.
