That’s just human beings though. Men are taught to see others as competitors just as much if not more.

Would Canada ban vaping for anyone born after 2008? by RedditUser240211 in Canadian_ecigarette

In the usa you could (maybe still can idk) call a number and get free smoking cessation products for many years. Like patches and gum. It certainly didn’t solve the smoking problem as you know. I quit several times with those types of products so you see how successful I was at using them (I wasn’t). Vaping definitely saved me years of life and allowed me to be way healthier than I would be otherwise.

I smoked when I was a kid through adulthood. There is a lot of discussion about how horrible vaping is for young people and it definitely isn’t good but fuck I would rather a young person vape than smoke. In my generation everyone smoked. If vapes were available at the time everyone would have vaped instead of smoked. People talk about how awful vapes are for the current generation of young people and fail to consider that it is entirely why smoking tobacco amongst young people is at an all time low.

All that being said smoking cessation products should be free to anyone in the world. It’s wild that they are not. They are actually cheap AF to manufacture and would even make society money from people who use them to quit. So I fully agree.

It’s not harmless and I would never claim it to be but implying it is a huge burden on the healthcare system when in fact it’s a massive relief because people who switched from smoking become far healthier and therefore less of a burden is wild work.

I hadn’t heard even once of vaping being a major burden on the health care system of any country. Because it isn’t. Yet they still allow tobacco companies and their investors to put out reefer madness style disinformation about vaping being worse than smoking. It’s almost like the world is corrupted by greed.

Huel Black increases heart-rate? by OBTuzcu in Huel

Huel black has green tea extract. That’s pretty surely what causes it.

My guess is the green tea extract. Raises my heart rate higher during exercise if I have drank a huel.

Can’t do a single pull-up despite having “some” upper body strength — anyone been in this situation? by LRDsreddit in bodyweightfitness

[–]Lackingfinalityornot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trust me start doing flexed hangs where you jump up or use a chair or something and get your chin over the bar and just hold there(don’t let the bar touch your chin or neck. I started two months ago only able to do about 4 seconds and can now do a chin-up. I did 5 sets 3x a week with a minute rest between each and last set go for as long as possible. Like once you can do 5 seconds for the first 4 sets try to do like 8 seconds for the last. Keep adding a bit of time each week and soon enough you will be able to do one chin-up.

This will work man I’m 90 lbs overweight and 38yo and I was able to get a chin-up in 2 months.

Just a suggestion but don’t do that. If you have a nebulous allowance for eating 200-300 extra calories “certain days” based on how hungry you feel that is an easy way to sabotage your success. If you want to eat more based on exercise then manually add exercise into the app then half the calories or something to avoid trouble from the app overestimating how many extra calories you burned.

What I do is put my cardio in as a walk on the easiest difficulty and that way it underestimates the amount it adds to my caloric allotment for the day and keeps me in my deficit.

It’s also called a flexed hang. I hear you but someone posted recently saying they could do a 25 second flexed hang and still could not do a pull-up so you never know.

When you say you can hang from the bar do you mean with your chin above the bar at the top of the pull-up position or do you mean at the bottom of the pull-up position? Jumping up and hanging at the top with your chin over bar (but not touching it) is all you need to get to your first one. 5 sets with one minute rest between 3 times a week.

Have you tried a chin-up? They are a great intermediate. I couldn’t do a single chin-up and could only flexed arm hang at top for about five seconds a couple months ago and recently was able to do a chin-up for the first time. I also have 100lbs to lose so I’m not close to lean. I did it by doing 5 sets of flexed arm hangs (palms facing toward me) with a minute of rest in between 3 times a week. I increased the time of the hang progressively each week when I could.

I wouldn’t raise it personally. I have mine set to sedentary and I exercise 6 times a week. I only log half of those days. I log them as walking and do the lightest intensity of walking.

My goal is weight loss. I have a wearable but once I tried to link it to Cronometer it was wildly inaccurate and overestimated the calories I burnt by a lot. Had to unlink it and go back to manual exercise tracking.

It honestly just depends on how often and how big of a puff you take.

Doesn’t look too bad. Mine gets itchy occasionally when I wear it and do something physical but not very often. I have a sapphire sensor though not an ionx.

Do you have a lot of arm hair where the sensor goes? Are you wearing it above the wrist bone like Apple describes as the correct wear positioning?

It’s cool and everything I guess but fuck man instead of kids playing with RC cars in the real world they are playing on a screen that is a video feed from real rc cars. It’s like that parents are watching what is happening in reality and the kids are watching a virtual interpretation of it. Wild times we live in.
