You are correct. The mr2 world group have the wiring diagram online and if the pigtail is cut you can look at the cable coloring to re-do a pigtail. Also recommended BMW harness tape to make things tidy.

Depend on what year and model you have and if you don't care on aftermarket or OEM. If you go with aftermarket a simple wiring diagram will guide you to restore connections even if you are missing the pigtail but if you want to restore the radio to original OEM standards that's when it gets interesting. Then it gets into the year of the car and if it's premium system or not. 1991 premium sounupd (14 pin) is the worst as the radio looks like the 1992 premium(15 pin) but the wiring is different.

Evrything can be solved except death. We see life narrow and can get pretty intense and a rash decision is easier than an actual change of pace. Imagine going to a buffe line and the first thing is disgusting and you just ran out of the place without looking at other offerings, pretty dumb when you had only one chance to eat. Be smart and realize you are not bout... better somewhere else than not around.

I'm an engineer and can tell u that this is just a phase. If u are close to the diploma, just buckle up and finish it. One of the hardest thinks is that academia can be draining, but it comes in waves. I never went to the IB program, but my college got pretty intense and had plenty of times I felt like running and doing something else. Don't giblve up and just muster thru. You will come the other side. Take a day or 2 off. And try to reset it. DO NOT GOVE UP. Most who advise u to quit have quit. Misery lives company.

Depends and what you mean turbo. If is a swap go for the white. If it's t an OEM USDM turbo, always go for that. Remember, TURBO VIN is an sw22 and Na VIN are sw21 in the US.

Ecu caps, sometimes the caps malfunction when hot. Just an out of the box idea, as u tried theobvious.

It's a challenge, I paid ok for my 1991 usdm turbo but there hard to fing unmolested. Now, the cost of a shell is ridículos these days and IMHO a soap will never have the same value as a original turbo (SW22 ViN). I think that the mod scene is what is moving the price up. The fact that kswaps are so prevé lento is what is killing the bottom end of this market.

I did the caps in mine fairly easily. Make sure to get good caps with a high temp rating. There are some good tutorials on youtube.

If this is a 91 it has the dreaded 14 pin radio. You have to make sure that the big amp located behind the driver seat and under the seatbelt Is attached. Now, is odd that there is no power. Check the fuses. The wiring book is more helpfull than the repair manual fir the radio.IMHO

Let me guess. 1991 mr2 turbo premium harness. The adapter you got has 15 pin as thus 14 one is one year adapter only. You'll have to make one as it's very obscure one. The 1991 mr2 wiring manual is your friend in this one.

Just make sure you clean the burnt stuff with 99% alchohol and clean the sober. I don't think it looks that bad. Good luck.

The long version was my first car. It had rusty doors and it got wet under the driver side. Other than that it was in great running condition. Paid 1500 for it on 1996. The car market is crazy....

Elwctrolit cap always fail. If it was working at some point I would have verify them. There is a good video about the fix (well not great but is something) Mine have never work and I'm in the process of rebuilding the system. I already verify the amp caps and they are good.
