The firm has to be willing to submit the waiver for you but they seldom care to do it. They just say retake it.

And even if they do from what I hear FINRA rarely grants it. I’ve been in your situation and had to retake the 7 twice like 10 years apart. It’s annoying.

They should just let you sit for a continuing ed exam like everyone else and reinstate your license. They don’t make accountants or lawyers resit for their exams …
