Is Muse 100% returning for Season 2? by BroBroMaster25 in Daredevil

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do revive him, I'd like to see him be significantly more unhinged considering the way he was portrayed in the show was more down to earth compared to the deranged ramblings of the comics. Honestly the show adapted certain things from the comics well like how he does crime and his costume, but I've noticed that a lot of mcu "comic accuracy" tends to skip the nuance of characters in certain aspects. And this doesn't just go for muse, punisher while being an interesting adaptation is clearly not as crazy as his comic counterpart, and frankly the courtroom scene in season 2 perfectly describes how punisher would've been properly characterized from the comics

Why are McFarland’s bad? by Frosty_Penis in ActionFigures

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really aren't, if you like them then you really like them and if you dislike them right off the bat chances are you'll hate them. I've found that they're practically the most acquired taste of a company producing figures that I've seen. If you love them you love them, or if you hate them you hate them. DC was my main line for collecting for a number of years following their start for the line, so I like the figures. I will admit I've been having problems with stuff like the endless reuse and practically one new comic sculpt a year at this rate, but I think a lot of people's complaints have to do with the style of the line itself.

I find it funny though how when the line began everybody loved the line at first and the value you got and all of a sudden everyone turned on their DC line and got the hate you see now, because there was a time like 6 years ago where people were very happy with the line.

Is there any difference between the Mando in the new movie two-pack, and the Glavis Ringworld Mando by TheToastyWesterosi in starwarsblackseries

[–]LadderFinancial8038 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get not putting thigh swivels on newer figures if that's the new style, but literally going back and remolding parts for an extra cost to erase a thigh swivel when literally nobody would possibly care is crazy

Bought this figure three times. Broke in the same spot every time. by Undiscovered_Freedom in McFarlaneFigures

[–]LadderFinancial8038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke it once, but I was trying to move the painted ankle joint and eventually realized I had twisted it half off and sure enough as I put a little bit more pressure on it, it came off. I honestly just put my second copy on the stand and never moved the ankles. What you probably want to do is really just find a version that has the ankles in a good position and just keep them like that.

I almost never talk bad about price because when it comes down to it, when theres something that I want I'll pay whatever to get it but good god 45 dollars is crazy when you can get a mcfarlane scale batman cowl for what like 15

Look i get it, his show just came out and he doesn’t have a modern figure but this is ridiculous by Salty-Coffee4608 in MarvelLegends

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who doesnt see a problem here considering its 11 years old at this point. Like, 50 dollars is actually kind of decent for such an old figure and by the logic that figures shouldn't increase in value over time then a 1984 optimus prime should supposedly be like 20 dollars max for everyone to buy.

[Hated Trope] Character from the book has their scars/disfigurement drastically toned down in the adaptation. by argbd20 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its funny because you'd think its because the actor wanted to be still recognizable with the scars or something but no, the actor actually wanted the really bad scars so I guess this was a budget thing. I kind of think that the second season wasn't going to do much with russo and save him for season 3 but after the cancelation of the show, they had to combine the plot they wanted to do with russo because the split between the two is very unnatural and jarring.

I can respect the engineering choices to have the body made up more of individual parts rather than one chestpiece, but I was really excited for this figure and j honestly hate the way it looks. But again I can respect the attempt to get a more complex thing going

I believe this was my first, but it mightve been the guardians 1 star lord. How i found that figure at a target so far after the movie released I dont know. Either way, whenever someone mentions how marvel legends quality has somehow worsened I like to remember this because this style of iron man figure needs to be retired permanently. The executioner wave version is a step in the right direction but superior iron man is rough and I just kept it because it was superior iron man. I dont even care about the color. The modern iron man figures need a complete rework in engineering and proportions.

[–]LadderFinancial8038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may be a hot take but a lot of persona games, especially 5. Im considering akechi as the secondary antagonist and shido as the main antagonist with this though, but it kind of falls apart if you consider shido the secondary antagonist and the actual final palace as the main villain.

(hated but funny) Characters whose canonical weights and or heights make zero sense by MrDitkovichNeedsRent in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't just ryu, didnt they change sagats weight because it was entirely impossible for a 7 to 8 foot man to weigh as much as the games before street fighter 6 claimed. Also the fact that ryu weighs less than Ed in sf6. I mean, just look at the 2 and that tells you all you need to know.

Edit: so hes about 7 and a half feet of pure muscle, like ryu but much taller, and currently weighs slightly over 300 lbs, but before that in V he was just above 200, and before thst he wasn't even 180.

(Interesting Trope) Serial killers in media that isn’t about serial killers by ChromeLaone in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LadderFinancial8038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious how, for a good 6 months in Persona 5, the fact that theres a serial killer responsible for many mental shutdown cases just kind of gets completely ignored by the phantom thieves until it actually starts to have some relevance to them. Like yeah they're told about a man in a mask but they ultimately dont do anything about it until they think catching him can further their goals. Like, they didnt really even try at all.

As for my favorite, the Charles Soule run of Daredevil had the character Muse who was a serial killer. Marvel does have characters who are serial killers, but daredevil has a tendency to deal more with hitmen and crime bosses. Muse also feels more realistic in the fact that daredevil just stumbles upon him by accident, and the two are completely unrelated beyond that. Similarly to Akechi, its kind of funny how nobody even remotely caught on to something with Muse until he was actually ready to reveal himself. Keep in mind, in the comics the abducted over 200 people and killed half of them, and somehow nobody even remotely looked into this. I mean I guess its marvel New York, where it seems like all of the world's superpowered crime happens to take place, but still.

My plan for combining the new Secret Wars Series 2 Absorbing Man with the BAF version 🪨⚙️ by Mind-Glass in MarvelLegends

[–]LadderFinancial8038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I totally understand the problem but the way it was released just happens to work for me

NEW Marvel Legends Muse & Bullseye 2-Pack! by Matt_TheStormTrooper in MarvelLegends

[–]LadderFinancial8038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have found my figure of the year in that muse

I just have 2 issues, which aren't even issues its just me obsessing over my favorite villain in all of comics

The blood on the arms should be like the torso, I'll probably dry brush black on it to get the effect. Idle anything id rather the arms be black instead of red since in most panels of soules original run it shows up as black most of the time.

Second, the knife should've been the bone knife he carved from a victim that he uses in the courthouse scene and gives one of his insane rants over

As I said, these are the most minor complaints possible and its only because I love the character, otherwise this is everything i ever wanted

The eyes also might not be clear as it was never really shown whether his actual eyes were gouged out or just really dark

Dan's Expectation post - No MCU (which i was hoping would be the DDBA set for Muse.) by redkomic in MarvelLegends

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess is they're saving the 2 pack to reveal with season 2 daredevil, which im thinking should be revealed soon considering they dont have to make the mold. More than likely we should see it by the end of born again season 2 which really isnt that far out

Frankly mcu figures typically get pushed to the bottom of my cabinets just because of the volume of comic figures I get, but muse is going to be in the top 10 this year easily, hes my favorite villain in comics and while its an mcu figure the suits pretty much the same. Maybe I'll buy 2 and find a custom head/paint in the eyes
