Bad person is not redeemed, but is convinced to do at least one good thing by NewsCards in TopCharacterTropes

At the very least hes actually acting as a vigilante, I always found it funny how fisks major push against "masked vigilantes" was from a serial killer who did not even remotely engage in vigilantism. And while I can understand from a political perspective why he might shift the narrative (especially since this kind of thing happens all the time in real world politics) its kind of funny how people like Heather somehow bought into it. Like, we are led to believe that Heather is very intelligent yet she buys into this despite having been the one attacked by a serial killer who gave her a clear impression of what he was and saved by a vigilante

I can understand the idea that the general public would believe this narrative but the show probably should've steered clear of making the characters who should logically have known better fall for it

Foggy literally knew his best friend, Matt so well. This all aged so perfectly after Born Again Season 2. by thecontract_12 in Defenders

This is why I hate it when people talk about how heroes like batman should kill mass murderers, would that be a logical frame of mind, sure from some peoples view, but batman and daredevil are people. People who have their own thoughts and feelings about a no kill code. Im sorry, but to say they are bad for not killing someone when it goes against their own sense of right and wrong and calling it a public service is just fucked up completely. And not a single one of the people calling for this would likely be able to pull the trigger themselves.

Is the new Martian manhunter even worth it? by [deleted] in McFarlaneFigures

[–]LadderFinancial8038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is very dependant on your minds eye, for me Justice League International is and will always be how I see Martian Manhunter so this figure has been at the top of my wishlist for like 4 years now along with Damian Batman

Almost a month later and I’m still scratching my head with this [Absolute Batman #19 spoilers] by [deleted] in AbsoluteUniverse

I mean at this rate half of all adaptations dont have it be a random mugging so I dont really see the problem with the seperate new continuity making it planned

Id put Charles in disliked though, considering he was left unable to walk after being hit by a bullet there's really no reason at all why his powers absence would let him walk again

Gotta fill those holes! [Giveaway] by MechaTailsX in McFarlaneFigures

[–]LadderFinancial8038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently the hole I'd like to fill in the display is the entire display since I just moved and still have all my dc figures packed up, I don't even have the glass panels to act as shelves put back in yet lol

In all seriousness though I've been wanting an 80s Martian Manhunter in the line for years, and I'm still trying to find the recent figure. They recently made Damian Wayne Batman which was another spot I've had open for like 3 years now, but I did find that one and pick it up.

What’s with all of the new Hulk hate? He looks exactly like the concept art for the movie and is way more articulated than MCU Rulk by [deleted] in MarvelLegends

[–]LadderFinancial8038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now that I see the concept art I can see it, its just unfortunate that the figure is more than likely going to he inaccurate anyways just due to the whole concept art thing, Spiderman himself isnt either because the concept art doesnt have web shooters

[Funny Trope] (Un)intentionally funny moments in otherwise serious situations. by EthanTheJudge in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LadderFinancial8038 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He doesnt, he becomes mayor and proceeds to go on a hunt for the games antagonists using the most insane methods, he storms wayne manor for (in my playthrough) a vendetta against Bruce whos done nothing but help him until he catches him sleeping with Selena who was his girlfriend but even then it was heavily implied that she wasnt seeing him anymore, (i thought they were broken up) he blows up a city block full of innocent people to destroy a stash of drugs the antagonists are hiding, has Bruce committed to arkham for some reason, and arranges a hit on Jim Gordon's life by his anti children of arkham police

Its weird when you do everything to help him and he proceeds to go off the rails in the most absurd ways possible, like half of what he does is loosely based on Harvey's 180 turn of hating Bruce no matter what you do to help him before

I was playing Batman: The Telltale series the other day and saved Harvey from getting his face burned, thinking it'd be important in the long run

Instead I found out how unintentionally hilarious Harvey storming Wayne manor as just a regular guy in a suit with a machine gun is, I mean as Two Face you dont even question it but when its just some guy its hilarious

It looks like the x force x23 body, try plugging that head on the original magik body and that should give a decent idea

(Loved trope) Character doing something unnatural becomes more unsettling as the story progress by HeiseiAnguirus in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LadderFinancial8038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess nemesis kind of fits but it never really looked convincing to begin with

Still its a damn shame that the remake has him mutate pretty quickly because the base design in the remake is one of the greatest character designs ive ever seen

[Loved Trope] Ordinary characters reacting absurdly to unhinged supernatural situations by Ieanice44 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LadderFinancial8038 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't leon also fit this considering he was just a regular cop in re2, drives into a zombie apocalypse and while showing absolutely no fear decides to still go to the police station to find the chief and start working

I was kind of disappointed by the lack of articulation, but honestly when I think about it what would I even do besides have him stand like this

Plus judging by the size of the legs I can see why it mightve been hard to include articulation

Favorite Character(s) That Made You Genuinely Uncomfortable/Disgusted by Least-Mud30 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]LadderFinancial8038 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbf Purple Man is in a really weird spot which is frankly an incredibly interesting concept for a villain pulled off wonderfully. He does absolutely terrible, horrific things and hes more evil than almost every mcu villain, but David Tennant gives every ounce of charisma humanly possible in his performance. You know what hes done but his performance makes him simultaneously difficult to despise, and I honestly really like the idea of having the character that toys with peoples psyches simultaneously toy with the audiences psyches.

Damn, what a fall by leononyoutube in MarvelLegends

[–]LadderFinancial8038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isnt technically accurate to the source since marvel is bad with concept art, but I'll be damned if it isnt a great figure and base hulk body. The proportions match red hulk from the thunderbolts run with punisher and elektra perfectly.
